Nice photo of the paper mill, funny how things connect in life as I noticed what company it is, Smurfit-Stone. I use to work in one of their places. You made it look wonderful compared or in relation to the juxtaposition I think of with that company. That I feel says something where one can look at a subject and find/feel beauty from a situation of the opposite source because of what the photographer was able to achieve.

Two thumbs up, if I had more thumbs I'd give them :D

Thank you!

I have picked up at the plant in my picture a couple times before when I drove for a different company. Both times the whole place was covered in snow and I had a student driver with me, both times the student learned a valuable lesson that I hope saved them some stress when they were on their own.

I really like the aviation photos from avro707 and I'm posting this picture which isn't mine but the concept was really interesting. With that said I'd love to see one of avro707's like this with a dusk or night photos with all the lights in a similar way. I think his would look great or better if maybe all the elements were fused such as some planes landing be it at night, during the day and the ones where it's wet or raining.

I think this would make a great pano, planes taking off and landing. I'm not putting a wish list out there per se and I don't have the time or skills to create such a piece but I'm willing to nudge a few that could do this ;)

Great shot! Would love to see that some day.

Thanks, I wish we could see them more here in Southeast, we do not have so many clear nights, living in a rain forest and all. When I went to School at UAF, I did not have a camera, I hope to get back there some day in the winter. The lights in Fairbanks are just amazing! a bit brighter, and many more colors. We rarely get to see any colors other than shades of green. In Fairbanks the lights shift from green to pink to blue to purple and many combinations in between.. Eery but beautiful. :D
Check out the the Aurora Forecast at UAF's Geophysical Institute at http://www.gi.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast They have a lot of of great info there.

The Barn

One I took in NE Oregon about 6 years ago with my first digital camera. A little enhancement with iPhoto.

Yeah , its a lousy shot . Done through a bus window on my way into NYC which explains the blue streaking . ( the glare on the bus window , not my going to NYC) Probably passed this spot 100's of times and never seen this before .
At least it looks like The King to me . Been up there for a while , apparently .

I posted a similar picture in the fortnight challenge thread, here's a different angel.
