Another shot from the same spot as my last post only this one was taken just at the end of 2008. I never get bored of the view from this location.

Taken in Lanzarote a week or two back..
The steps are surrounded by water, very cool!

Taft beach, Oregon

Another shot from my little point 'n shoot project. Most of the shots are done on Program setting, but later on I'll try experimenting with some of the more 'creative' settings... These are mainly to see what the little camera will do under a variety of situations.

My first pano so take it easy on me . Thanks!

I like this, however it appears the image could be straightened maybe a few degrees, maybe 5 or so left. The apparent slope is distracting to me, but I like the composition and exposure overall.

True, I was thinking the same thing (about the straightening). Thanks!

Can't you just see this cool little bad boy with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth? (not that anyone should smoke, of course).

OK it's only a dragonfly, but sometimes they can be funny.

Male Northern Cardinal in snow

Sony a700
1/200 f/5.6 ISO 200 @ 250 mm

The brilliantly colored Northern Cardinal has the record for popularity as a state bird: in the United States, it holds that title in seven states.
This common bird is a winter fixture at snow-covered bird feeders throughout the Northeast, but it only spread to New York and New England in the mid-20th century.

Lemme know what you think

Whenever I see a pic with a purposefully small depth of focus, I want the point of focus to highlight something in the pic that's significant. When it doesn't (as here, where the in-focus bit of the bench looks much the same as any other bit of the bench...) I feel a bit 'cheated'... Like you've said "Look here"... but there's nothing there. Just my two-pennorth, of course... :)

This is probably a bit dark for some people's taste, but the original was fairly bland. I felt this process put some drama into the shot and reinforced the line from the bridge to the house on the hill.

I get what you're saying. That's why I put my photos up here, for comments and criticism.
