Today we will go to Harare, capital of Zimbabwe. This photo was taken from the roof of the Holiday Inn. The civil service had been revolting and stinging eyes, due to residual tear gas, was not uncommon on the ground. I was a little disappointed. The oft rumoured sniper nest was absolutely not on the roof of the Holiday Inn.

Mixed bathing at the pond this afternoon
Finally back out on the lake this year. 40+cms thick. Much better skating than last year but not quite smooth enough to safely build up any real speed. At least there were no signs saying 'No Lepers Allowed'. Hopefully temps will stay cool enough to keep the surface from turning to slush, and we'll get out a few more times.

Sadly ISO 8000 was needed to get this shot and maintain 1/320s with f/2.8. Taken on the Nikon Z9 while I was looking for foxes to practice the magic eye AF. The eye AF fond the foxes eyes immediately and I was able to rattle off hundreds of shots without fuss.
