Good panning technique here, gives the picture a sense of speed.

Although he's struggling with inferior material this season, Rossi is still my favorite moto racer of all time. But his team, Ducati, is realy struggling at the moment, even with next season's bits and pieces they are testing now  They have a lot of work ahead of them.

I was at my local city park in a semi-official capacity this evening to help shoot the talent show. I even got a shout-out thanks from the mayor. This particular moment from the crowd stood out to me.

Haven't posted in a while. Trying out my new 14L.II thinking about doing a series of these kind of "environmental portraits". Get closer to people and show them in their space. You can infer a lot about this guy from this one picture.

CC would be great guys. Hope you've all been doing well.

Beautiful! Except for the unfortunate cell tower, but I guess there's not much you can do about that. Love the clouds.

Thanks, otter. Well, I could just wave my magic wand and make it go away. ;) I assume you meant the antenna mounted on the roof of the little house. Not sure that's a cell tower, but it is something I partially removed from my last photo that I took at this location. This time I wasn't sure if it was a distraction or a quaint detail, so I left it in, but if even one person sees it as a distraction, then I have my answer. Poof. Gone.

Phrasikleia, your beautiful picture seems to load very slowly. Server?

Hmm. Loads fine for me, though the MR forums in general seem to be loading quite slowly right now. Temporary glitch?

Nice to see you here Ralph!

Today was Summer Carnival in a not-so-summerlike-city. Picture inspired by James Ensor (1890-1949).

What an awesome explosion of color!

The Little Shop of Arts and Antiques in Lilburn, GA hosted a display of various exotic birds. My son, Galen, provided shoulder space for Princess, but she was apparently camera shy here.

Thanks Keleko! Yes, it was meant that way. These events are chaotic and it is very hard to get the composition you are looking for, there is always something unwanted in foreground or background and everybody moves.

From the same event a more quiet shot.
