Appeared in my backyard - and didn't seem bothered having someone lurking with a massive telephoto lens about a few metres away from it. I think the bird was probably looking for me to give it something to eat.

All of my kookaburra shots have the unfortunate aspect of having man made structures and caging in them. :(

Thanks! :) I'm still around - but I don't much like photography anymore. I prefer riding bikes more and spend all my time doing that. Given that photos aren't my full time profession, it's not a big issue.

But seeing the kookaburra sitting there - just had to go get the cameras. Actually the little guy was so patient - let me get do a couple of return attempts.

By the 3rd time it was less worried.
