I was thinking exactly the same thing. I don't know what is 'off screen' to the right of the picture, but I would have tried to follow the wall down to a more satisfying conclusion if it were possible.

Also (if possible) I would have stood further back and zoomed in, to try and show all the locks, and bring the path into view. As the photo is now, the locks are hidden behind each other, and the path hidden by the gate handle, which is something of a missed opportunity.

acearchie is right about cropping - never be afraid to cut a chunk off your photos - the camera offers a limited set of picture dimensions, whereas the world we see has an infinite set.

Any further to the right, and I got the pub car park. This is very local to where I live, so I'll be back at some point soon (probably with tripod) to try out some of the feedback. Thanks for taking the time, and keep it coming.

Will have to revisit this one, yet again... :(

Congratulations on your persistence.

I would say 9 times out of 10, if I have ever organised something around the weather or light in general it doesn't pan out how I exactly want it to be. However, on that 1 time it does work it is so worth it!

Good luck for next time!

Very nice photo. Great lighting. What time of day did you shoot this? Love the colors of the sky and how they accent the rock wall. Nice shadow detail, too. Nothing lost in there.

Note to the coders in the forum: Is it just me or are all of the Auto TIMG extensions broken? I hand coded this to show the image.

About an hour and a half of July left for me, so here is a snap shot I took at work yesterday. I say snapshot as it was shot through my office window on whatever setting it was on last! The small grey cloud kind of ruined the shot a bit, as I wasn't quite quick enough to get the interesting one in just blue sky.

My plan was to restore the maximum image size to 1024px wide (or larger!) as part of an extension upgrade, never got around to doing it... so I'll investigate the problems and hopefully get a new extension out some time.

Thanks and no worry. It seems to be an issue just with the image server used by Heron88. All the other images I tried to quote TIMG'd just fine, but his post wouldn't work under any browser.

Thanks.

Always knew we Aussies were a pretty chilled out bunch!
