Camera used: Canon Powershot S5 IS. I'm no pro at this photography thing, but I am interested, and I am trying to understand it a bit more about it... :D

...I hope the problem with halos gets fixed in a future version of Photomatix.

I agree re: Photomatix. Would be nice to not have to set light smoothing to "highest" without getting halos, but I fear halos are endemic to the process.

Nice image, BTW.
 
Ever want to rip the lens off of your camcorder to use on an SLR?

I took this today with my Canon GL2 camcorder - after checking the stats on the lens, I discovered that it's a 4.2-84mm f-stop 1.6-2.9 IS L lens. Not too shabby for a consumer level video camera :rolleyes:
