Nevermind, it's just not worth continuing this argument in the POTD.

From last year

Gorgeous landscape shot ! beautiful light on the ground, it really does look like one of Doylem's and that is intended as a compliment to you both. :)

I'm back to the Sunset Seascapes again.... Sorry :D

^Really nice, great lighting. The water is so blue almost cyan. Great work.

Thanks, TheReef. Many of the rivers and lakes in Slovenia have some mineral content that makes them very cyan. For example, the river Soča, taken on Wednesday:

The color isolation doesn't quite work for me in this image. To me, the eyes give the beautiful child an eerie quality.

I was waiting for someone to say that. :D The reason I went with the color isolation is because of her eyes. I've never seen eyes like hers before, they are absolutely shocking, I can't think of any other way to describe it (although creepy is pretty good, too). They are deep blue around the outside of the iris and slowly fade to pure white.

Still playing with color, just learning how to do this. C&C please.

This is my little brother.

The really cool U-505 War Memorial, Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.

Haven't seen it since childhood. It's now in a Memorial Exhibit, enclosed in a replica Submarine Pen!

(they no longer allow photos inside the U-Boat, people were taking pics and trying to sell them online :( )

Olympus E-420, ISO 1600, 1/40, f2.8, 25mm (50mm equiv), Carl Zeiss Distagon T* (how appropriate is that?) :D

HDR is way too much fun. I love this apartment building! Don't live there but see it from time to time and decided to do a portrait today!
