I was shooting the ducks and ducklings then this guy came out of no where. Wish I knew it was coming then I would have been able to focus more. It happened so quickly. Out of 9 shots this one came out the best. Cropped it.
Not bad I guess...

Just got the Nikon D60 last month, here are a few of my favorites from June.

Nice... I like the way the path is lit, while everything else is in shadow. And I feel I could reach out and touch the wooden handrail; it's almost 3D...

Thanks, Doylem. Sadly, that photo captures the only bit of sun that filtered down into the gorge while I was there that day. It lasted only a few seconds, just long enough for me to get a shot off.

Stunning. Location?

Thanks. This was taken at the Grand Canyon near Grandview on a cross- country skiing trail along the rim last winter (you can see a little snow to the right). The title "Age" refers to the comparasion of the old trees against the timeless age of the Grand Canyon. I applied a B&W conversion and a little vignette to the image.

Camera: Pentax K200D
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/750)
Aperture: f/11.0
Focal Length: 43 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

 Damn! Those pics are amazing. Have you been doing photography for a long time? I just got my D60 too and my pics don't look quite that good. Ha.

A few years of occasionally using my fathers Rebel XT, but the D60 is a whole new beast, I love it. It took a bit to get used to but once you figure it out you'll get great results. My suggestion is get a big memory card and just keep snapping away, I'd say I discard 80% or more of my photos :D.

Haha same here. I picked up a 16GB SDHC card the other day for a great price.

Shot this pic today. These ducks come up to the backdoor and we feed them.
