In 2007 my pastor was removed from the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) for violating the policy that prohibited gay pastors in a relationship from being members of the ELCA. In 2009 that policy was changed to allow GLBT pastors to be continue as members even in a relationship. My pastor and his partner were reinstated to the ELCA in 2010. Today I learned that the Southeastern synod of the ELCA rejected an attempt to revoke the 2009 policy change. These prayer weavings were made during my pastor's trial in the ELCA. This particular prayer was very true through the entire process.
