nando2323: that black and white shot of the guy and his dog is stunning, it's one of the most beautiful photos I've ever seen.

love the Algonquin photo cutsman, been there may times and never brought my camera with me....then again i just gt my Slr like a month ago, next time i go i will bring it for sure.

I like that shot a lot. Very urban, but there's something wonderful about that old dog. So anti-cliche from the typical put-bull, rottweiler (sp?) type you see here in the states.

Just a (skinny) guy and his buddy out in the cold morning.

When I saw them standing there ,I though that was a great moment as if they were waiting for someone to come by and take a picture of them.

Love the composure of your last shot "davidjearly". But have you done some darkening to the skies in the picture? In that case you have missed some spots right over the axis of the wheel.

One of my own, please comment:

The background is way too cluttered, IMO. There's out-of-focus in a good way, and out-of-focus in a not-so-good way. Instead of drawing th eye to the flower, this just distracts. Just my two-pennorth... :)

i really like the flower, buy i do agree with Doylem too, the background is a bit distracting...

here's mine for today

Yeah, i haven't thought about that, and your right, the background takes a little to much attention. A bit to much distortion in the background, ill think about that the next time i take such a picture. Thank you.

Neat place near Hurricane Ut.

There is almost no where to park, other than on the side of I-15, then its still a good hike in. But awesome, and desolate!

Now these pics do not do this place justice. It was sunny, with no clouds in the sky. Mostly mid day. (I know the worst time to shoot) But imagine with some clouds or early AM or PM this would be a fun place!

I15? Must have passed it driving south from SLC. Great image, pity about the
sensor spot though.
