I like that one a lot. The colors are great.

This thread never ceases to amaze me. I aspire to the quality of shots that Doylem and Steamie are posting!

The mandatory eye shot.

I was testing my extension tubes with my 50mm lens. This is a 12mm tube on a Sigma 50mm f1.4.

F6.3, 1/200, ISO 400, hand-held. No cropping, just resized.

b & w from the archives...

This is a shot of Cliff Walker, one of the organizers of an anniversary event commemorating a mid-70s anti-war protest and subsequent police crackdown at Portland State University. It's seriously backlit with blown highlights, but I liked the effect in b/w. Probably wouldn't have worked in color... 35mm Illford HP5+, full-frame workprint, scanned.

Lapland in the Winter...

if the clouds break you can see for hundreds of kilometers. There are something like 4 hills (no mountains or peaks!!!) in all of Lapland and they are all skiing resorts. but once you get up to the top of the hill you have winds blowing at 20m/sec and temperatures that can go below -30C. I was lucky at "only " -20C but my snowboard which was leaning against the wall got blown away twice!
shot at 14mm with a UV filter present.
