Thanks! It's a great upgrade, I did it mainly for the greatly improved sensor.
All the other nice modern bells and whistles like video were a bonus. :)

I was disappointed with my previous camera's (K20D) low ISO shadow noise on longer exposures, which gave little leeway for pushing and pulling tones. This was a shame because when shooting in my favourite environment, I like to underexpose and pull up.
Briefly considered the 5D III, but in a practical sense the K-5 better fulfilled my requirements for 1/4 of the price of the 5D III.
The K-5's sensor makes a world of difference - you can pull up a RAW file cleanly from near black, and practically speaking that's very useful, and it's AF locks much better in low light (behind stacked ND filters), very impressed :)

I'm preparing myself to do exactly the same thing, go from K20D to K5. One 5DmkIII in the family is enough ... ;)

The heat and the strong smell are unfortunately not visible. People are very friendly here, after an initial hello and permission asking they let you go around undisturbed. First time I had my SB-910 in action for fill-in flash.

Don't know if this counts as a photo of the day or not but I put this together today.
I wanted to make a wallpaper of all the automotive photoshoots I had over the past year.
So I made a wallpaper collage thingy...

If this does not quality as a photo of the day then please delete this post. I do not want to start any trouble. Technically, its not really a photo so shouldn't really be a "photo of the day"
