I haven't posted a photo in this thread in a while, so I dove back into the archives to find something I hadn't yet processed. (If I don't get out to shoot a new landscape sometime soon, I think I will spontaneously implode!) Here's one I shot in Croatia back in October:

These guys are primarily ground feeders. Scatter some small birdseed near cover like a tree or bush that's in camera range. That will put them in a predictable spot but won't make them stand still. Forget that...

I've been away from this thread for way too long. I have a lot of catching up to do. I finally got the camera out again over the weekend and went for a walk at a local park. After trying it a few times, I definitely see the appeal to birding. Too bad my equipment isn't the best, but it works well enough for my uses.

OK, this isn't exactly a bird, but it does have two wings and can fly

Olympus 45mm f/1.8 @ f/2

I've been really impressed with the Olympus 45mm f/1.8 lens. It's super sharp, has good bokeh, and will definitely be one of my go to lenses for a while. Plus is looks really cool!
