Wow. Love the flowing lines of color and the orange-blue is a natural match. Different from your majestic landscapes but just as beautiful.

Gasp! Literally took my breath away Phrasikleia.

Remarkable color, line and framing. I love the great depth of field in this photograph. Catching up on the thread caused me to reflect on the days when all you posted were pics of crumbly buildings. I do like the "signature" you much better :).

Dale

Wow. Just wow. Amazing photo.

My photo for today is an older image of the Golden Gate Bridge I posted in color a few years back. Converted it to B&W not too long after but don't think I ever posted it here. I'm currently in B&W mode and felt like recycling this one.

Many thanks for the comments. You guys are funny...now I'm going to have to figure out which of my shots are the "crumbly," "majestic," or "signature" ones. :p Dale, I think you're probably referring to my shots circa 2009 of temples and ruins, which are not out of my system yet! I only stopped shooting those locations because of access issues (no tripods allowed and the archaeological parks tend to be open only during the midday hours). You probably weren't yet a member here when I had my macro flower shots phase: be glad you missed that one! :D

Kallisti, I probably commented on that photo the first time you posted it, but I'm really liking it in B&W. It's great how the vantage point places us inexplicably outside the safe confines of the bridges, as if we're hovering in thin air alongside it.

AlaskaMoose: I'm really enjoying your shots from Alaska, all of them. Keep 'em coming! :)

I consider this photo SFW (as does Flickr). If your opinion differs, please send me a polite PM and I will consider removing the post.

My photostream contains artistic nudity. (Granted, Flickr hides these photos containing 'moderate' and 'restricted' content if you do not have your filters set to show things rated other than 'safe,' or if you are not logged in, but I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up.)

Thanks Phrasikleia, and all who have commented on my photos. Here is another I took last March (last year):

I am not good enough at CS5 to take the power lines out :)

Northern Lights. March 18, Eagle River, Alaska. I was too late for the contest so here are a couple I took last Sunday morning. Enjoy and comment away. Thanks for looking.

This is actually a shot I'm coming back to for twilight, so I'm not fussed about the sun flare down the centre of it. With this one taken yesterday in the blazing midday sun I used it as an exercise in masking 3 exposures together manually in Photoshop. No settings have been altered, just masks created to show or hide sections.
