Can't remember if I have posted this shot before but after coming back to it after 6 months I prefer it than when I first looked at it.

As always, comments are welcomed!

Nice one Acearchie! I know high-key portraits are quite favoured at the moment but I prefer this style. Purely a matter of personal preference.

EDIT: Hmm, I think I'll have to go back and choose a slightly different angle so the post doesn't line up with the tree :(

Loving all the dog sledding pictures, especially this one:

From the IFSS Winter World Championships in North Pole, Alaska:

Nicely seen and composed (though I'm not sure I'd leave that little sliver of something in the lower right corner). Gotta love fog!

Thanks! You're right about that thing in the corner. I've fixed that one up, and it's here.

If you're in Chicago I highly recommend the Chicago Architecture Foundation's boat tours. Really fascinating. Anyway, Here's more foggy Chicago.

Looks a lot better on black - click the image to see that.

Video Post

OK, I know this is the Photo of the Day thread and I don't want to derail that topic but I don't do video and I don't post in that part of the forum. I also know that this group truly appreciates beautiful imagery so I wanted to post this video link.

I have nothing to gain by posting this here (there is no commercial connection to me) but I am proud to be Canadian and I think this illustrates some of the very best that Canada has to offer...it truly is a beautiful country and I wanted to share it with you.

If you have 3 minutes to spare, dim the lights, turn up the volume and...remember to breathe.

^^^I had seen that video of Alberta before and it is stunning. Well worth watching, and I want to go for sure.

Realy nice B&W of such a cool truck. I like the modern hardware mixed with the old bodywork.
Thanks! I actually made it to the Flickr Explore page with that photograph earlier today!

Up in the trees by xmunos, on Flickr

Stopped at a state park while going for a drive on a dreary wet day. I liked how the trees just faded into white. Taken with my iPhone.
