This is an iconic statue in Karlshamn,
Sweden, representing the old times when locals left as immigrants to America.
Lady is seeing back wondering what's being left behind and the Gent is looking forward to good times.
Between 1851 and 1910 1 million emigrated from Sweden to America.
At the time that was 1 quarter of the population🙂
