I must apologise to everybody else in advance for the unreserved syncophancy, but MSUSpartan - these threads just would not be the same without your contributions. I absolutely love each and every photo you post.

I haven't seen you speak (lol) so I'm not sure if you'll answer my question, but t'is a simple one. Do your subjects generally know they're being photographed? Do you ask permission, or, if not, do you try and avoid being seen? At least prior to the photo has been taken, anyway?

Keep it up, your photos make my day!

Hey allmIne, I don't ask permission because I want to keep the shots candid...

I use a 35mm prime so sometimes they notice after I take the shot, I just smile and go on my way. I suggest not be too sneaky, sometimes you go up to people and take photos of them and they don't even notice or care. If you act too sneaky though, people just become suspicious. Hope that helps. Thanks for looking at my photos and I hope to see some street shots from you soon :)

Thank you so much for responding! That was really helpful - it's good to know how experienced folks do it.

I'm heading to London in a couple weeks, so I imagine there will be plenty of opportunities for street photography!! :)
