Reminds me of a scene from the show CSI.
This is a cool shot with outstanding colours uvafan. Two suggestions for you:
- People, wildlife or insects, the eyes in clear focus can make or break the shot, and
- I don't know if your seeing it or not but your sensor is in need of a cleaning.

Thanks for the insight, what is it that says the sensor needs cleaning? I don't know what I am missing and would greatly appreciate the help.
So, I finally got my macro rig all together, with two wireless speedlites on a circular rig that fits around the lens. This may just work for me!
Interesting thing I just noticed. As the image is shrunk down to appear in the extremely limited capacity here, moiré has appeared on the eyes, which is not there on my original. Ce la vie!

Well obviously more than mine (as she isn't throwing anything at you!) Neither my wife or daughter will let me take their picture. Guess I'll never be a portrait photographer.

Inside the two yellow circles I have indicated some sensor spots, which could be dirt, oil, dust, etc... that need to be removed so as to not show on every one of your pictures.
Could be as simple as turning on manual cleaning, which lifts the mirror and allows you access to the sensor, then giving it a good blast or thirty with a Giotto rocket blower, or you may have to purchase some goods to clean the sensor properly.

I live in Vegas too.

Tamron 90mm f/2.8, Extension Tubes,
That's a great photo. And I'm just as averse to being photographed.
I'll throw this one in - Qantas 12 Super arriving from Los Angeles:

ISO1600, F/9.0, 1/1600sec, 490mm, 1000ft.
It never gets old watching such a huge plane glide in for landing so slowly.
An interesting old door.

What's the door from?
In front of an antique store in old town Orange.
