Yes to both of these, but the yashica was half the price of a comparable Rollei (plus he didn't have any Rolleis for sale at that moment, they were still being serviced). Since I'll never be Vivian Maier anyway, a knock off camera will be just fine for me.
Just kidding around..... I have no idea what the prices are for vintage cameras! Nothing wrong with Yashica -- I seem to recall that it is (or was) a well-considered brand. You'll love medium format, the kind of image resolution you can get, and also the square format is nice, too. Enjoy!
A couple of years ago my wife and I went and stayed at Coldfoot Camp on the Dawson Hwy. in the month of January for several nights, hoping to see the lights. Nope - clouds. But we had a good time, dogsledding and getting up north beyond Atigun Pass. First time my wife had been in cold like that (I'd had previous early season climbs in the Alaska Range). Wonderful trip with a short stay in Fairbanks.
I'd love to - but won't - flood the photo thread with lovely autumn baby pics, so here are my shoes 
Glad to know that you enjoyed your visit. Sometimes the cloud cover can last for several days. It has been that way last and this month (October), but at least there were a couple of clear and moonless nights over a week ago when I took the photos above. It has been snowing lightly for about three days now, with temperatures in the 30's F. during the day, and a little colder at night.
Also had a flaming Moe, which was delicious 🤤
