Nice pictures by you as well, Mike 🙂 Regarding my Coolpix 8800, yes it has vibration reduction . I shoot everything from a tripod though, so I keep it turned off.

I was gonna ask how you liked the VR. 🙂 I was thinking that one of those might be a nice weapon for wedding photo stuff–since i can't use a tripod all of the time. 😉

yes. that's darius rucker from hootie & the blowfish dishing out ice cream at ben & jerry's. they actually were awesome guys, all of 'em, and they even bought all of the ice cream that day, so folks could get some for free. and it was for charity. of course, they do have a new album coming out...

I haven't a great camera

I've not got a great camera, a three year old 3.2MP kodak.

These are all untouched straight from camera then exported to a smaller size, i've always liked them:

1. St Peter's Square, Vatican, Rome. If you leave the actual vatican you'll find this on your left.

2. This is high up in the french alps, just before the Fréjus tunnel.

3. A frozen Niagra Falls (canadian side)

4. A piggy in St. Fagan's museum of welsh life. There is a dodgy story behind this one, this poor swine had just been raped by a FAT male. She ran away squealing but in the end he cornered her and jumped. Poor sod:

I'm only 14 but am very interested in photography, and am eager to learn more about this great hobby of mine 🙂


As am i, same age range and i too love photography, having only been doing this for a couple years, i have gone threw a camera that i look back on in its zero focusing ability and simpleness. Current camera is a Konika Minolta Z2, i cannot say much good about it, mostly because my camera are always eclipsed by my dad's (my simpleton vs. his sony V707, now my Z2 versus his 10D+70-200 IS L-series). I was going to send a few, but taking down the quality would make god kill some more apple programmers, and they are still too big image shack......hmmm ideas anyone?

WAIT, I GOT IT, as long as flickr is nice to me, i will put a linkity to all my favorite pic of mine, couple ps'ed, but not to the point of like adding a person. And breaking news, flickr has so here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/16701113@N00/show/

You mean this one?

Everything i use is stock/default in Photoshop (i have yet to use CS2). I'm not one for actions or plug-ins; though, i do like to use them to sketch out ideas and try to recreate them later myself. 🙂 The built in filters do more than enough damage. 😛

It's all about layers.

Kind of ... you have to keep a good eye on the image though; it can get muddy really fast or just blown out. The filter can get in the way as well; it should be balanced. i usually don't add any color ... just use what's in the image already.
