What?! Are you saying they removed batch date/time editing?

You can highlight multiple images and then go image>adjust date/time

But this doesn't work very well.

Image 1 from 1st jan 2000 and image 2 from 2nd jan 2000

Say If I adjust the date of them both together to be 10/1/2010

Image 2 would then be 11th jan 2010. Because it adjusted them both by +9 days, 10 years.

If that makes sense?!

If I'm doing something wrong and there's a normal, less idiotic, typical apple way of doing things then I would like to know :)

I second that question. That's the only missing feature that'll prevent me from switching from iPhoto.

Nope. Just downloaded new beta today and it doesn't exist; probably won't in the final.

There are, of course, numerous other ways to do that, and I expect vendors of such software will be happy to sell you a solution....

And BTW, given the issues with Aperture and writing geolocation data into photo files I would probably steer away from Photos for geolocation anyway, at least until it's shown it can write that data into metadata without having to go through the hassle of exporting.

It has always been like this and it totally makes sense.

Let's say you notice your camera was off by 1 hour because you forgot to switch off the daylight saving time. You can select all photos, change the time of the first one by 1 hour and all other images are automatically also shifted 1 hour. If all photos adopted the exact same time, that wouldn't make any sense.

What if you want a group of photos from separate dates to all be under the same date. Then you have to adjust each days photos in seperate groups!

It's ridiculous. How to you change the dates of multiple photos to the same date?

The only reason I want to do it like that... Is because the photos app has messed up my photos dates so bad that I don't even know what exact dates they were taken. So I want to make them at least be in the same group

i use a referenced library in iPhoto and when i updated to the Photos app, it seems i have to have one Photos library that has the 'system reference library' and the other one is a library converted from iPhoto. Is there a way I can combine the two?

Anyone lose the Media Browser in Safari / chrome?
I seem to have lost mine. When i upload a photo on a website, it used to have a media: section with Photos. Then it would open all my photostream photos.
Now - Nothing beyond devices favorites.
Any thoughts how I could get this back?

I lost mine. Really annoying as I want to upload pix to Wordpress.

i upgraded to 207.13.0 yesterday and now all my face tags are gone. the people I had assigned in the previous versions are shown, but all the face libraries are empty.

Uggh I just checked mine and my faces are missing too. I spent hours and had thousands tagged. I hope they fix it without rework.

Same here, they're all gone. Incredible. If Apple doesn't fix this and all my faces are recovered soon, I'll leave the apple solution for storing photos out completely. I'm not going back to iPhoto, it's been a pain for years with it's jurassic syncing mechanism.

Sure it's a beta etc etc. But if Apple doesn't have a working, modern solution, beta or not, then it's already overdue and time to move on.

Start Photos with the option and command keys held down and select "repair". That should fix it.

I wonder if anyone with a larger library >50 GB has been able to view the uploaded images through the Photo app on iCloud.com?

I uploaded 70 GB library to iCloud and the web-ui has been on "Preparing your library..." for over a week.

Thanks, it fixed the library in Photos. However now it seems all of the library (and strangely some more) needs to be uploaded again.

My 40 GB library prepared for 5-8 days.

I was having the Faces issue and did a repair and great, all back. Now for some reason my Photos app is saying "uploading 1153 items" in the status area. Ummmmm......from where? I've not imported any iPhoto or Aperture libraries and my library was up to date before the repair.

It does however appear to be stuck at 1153 items, so whether it's actually uploading these or is wrongly reporting it, I have no idea.

yeah, i may have spoke too soon.

mine is stuck on Uploading 37,600 Items. 38,722 in library, 12 videos. And my library was fully uploaded.

it has been stuck on this same number for a couple of hours. does this mean I'm screwed?

Anyone else who's having issues now also getting a popup "Photos agent quit unexpectedly" all the time? That's happening to me

Yeah, it seems after repairing the library it doesn't sync with iCloud anymore :(

How do you start fresh with iCloud sync without loosing the current library? (spent quite some time slimming, tagging, organising).

I only have experience with the web app because I'm on powerpc, but from my experience it works great. iCloud in general is a blessing in disguise for me when it comes to syncing my iPhone 6 and Power Mac G5. The photo web app recognizes all the photos on my iPhone and I can download them to my G5 perfectly.

This is incredibly bad. Turning iCloud sync on and off doesn't work, the library is just non-syncable after repairing the faces which that latest 10.10.3 beta broke.

Can anyone recommend any alternative to Apple? How is the sync with Google Picasa?

I backup my phone to iCloud and looking at said backup I can see that my phone is backing up Zero photo data. This is fine as I'm using iCloud Photo Library and have my phone set to "Optimize". What is confusing me is that it says my Phones memory is being used up by 2.4gb or Photos??

Any ideas?

My library is currently on 250gb and rising as it finishes off the rest and I can confirm the web ui is working although pretty poorly.

mmmm I can't seem to view high res version of my Photos that are stored in iCloud. Neither on my iPhone or Web UI.
