While I have no interest in a phone this size, I hope Apple does release one, simply to shut up all the inevitable whining about the "tiny" 4.7" screen.

This looks very authentic.

The 4.7 model does have very slim profile, which makes optical stabilization impossible. Its going to be very thin and have electronic stabilization.

The iPhone Pro 5.5 is going to have optical stabilization (superior), probably bigger sensor, a killer of camera i.e, thats why it has protruding profile because of the better camera. It is also rumored to have pressure senstitivity levels (5000-10000? aka Wacom or Samsung Note).

Thats the phablet and its going to be killer model. WIth case on, the protruding lens of Pro camera would hidden anyway. It prodtrudes just 1 mm and hardly noticeable. However, this makes a great camera.

is it big? I had seen Sony ExperiaZ 5 inch and man, it looks huge. 5.5 even more so. But thats the trend and you can't go against it.

Too much

That is just too big for one hand use. I can't even imagine my wife trying to use this behemoth. Let alone fit in her purse. Unless its a shopping bag. lol Forget the small clutch purse where the current iPhone can fit perfectly in. Imagine a nice out for dinner lugging this thing around? To each his/her own I guess.

No shot I would buy the 5.5". I know some love it, but 4.7" seems perfect. I can't think of anything Apple could do in terms of features that would make me spring for the 5.5" unless I didn't have iMac, iPad already and used it as my sole device.

I haven't had any luck trying to find stats or studies that shows a demand for cell phones that are over 5". I'm not being a jerk or trying to cause a flame war, but I really am curious as to where these studies are done. Better yet who sponsors these if they actually exist?

Has anyone even thought...

That this may not be an iPhone?

The iPod touch is ready for an update and having a larger iPod touch is the smart thing to do as kids love them for games and video and they don't fit them in their pocket, they put them in their backpacks.

I say the new lineup.

Phones
Low cost iPhone is the 4s (developing countries) soon to fade out to iPhone5

iPhone 5c still hang around

iPhone 5s will still be offered as top of the line smaller

iPhone 6 (not 6s, that comes next year) will be 4.7 inches

iPhone 6c may come out with the 6

Touches

Low cost intro version

Current touch

Current touch with speed bump - smaller version

New 5.5 touch - large version

I'm sorry, but that is hideous. Really hope this is just Chinese rumors (people making Apple mock-ups based on what Samsung has on the market...).

iPad mini - mini.

That's ridiculous.

4.7 rumor is more legit.

If the camera is going to protrude, I'm willing to bet it won't stick out any more than the Nexus 5 camera.

I wonder why they just don't add phone support as an option to the iPads too?

What would be cool is to have multiple devices with one phone number and let the user choose which they use. That I think would be the killer feature!

I'll stick with my iPhone 5s. I have a iOS device with a larger display, its called the iPad.

Again just hoping they keep updating the smaller (4") versions too. I don't want a phone that big. Just like I prefer a 13" laptop, not because I can't afford a 15" but because I prefer that form factor.

Also surprised there hasn't been more mockups with 3D printing all the rage now.

Customers: We want a bigger screen.
Apple: We'll make it thinner!
C: No, we prefer better battery life.
A: No screen!
A: People will buy it. They will love it.
C: That's because they don't understand how bad it is. Only I understand that. If only the other customers would speak with one unified voice (mine), then Apple would have to do what they (I) want.

I doubt this poor exscuse for a mockup based simply on the flash if nothing else. Apple released a great flash on the 5S that is being copied by other makers, the shown flash designs on all these mockups are single led flash lenses, very unlikely.

The protruding camer is rubbish, if anythingrhing Apple would do an inverted system for lens attachment.

You can keep your 5s. I stuck with the iPhone 5 for the lifetime of the contract, and now it's close to time for my upgrade, and I'm looking forward to the iPhone 6.
