I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Gray from Apple.com to be picked up at the Lake Grove, NY Apple Store.

My order is still at "Processing Items". No charge on my Chase Credit Card.

Anyone else?

That's normal. I have the same email. Hoping to get another confirmation email this week and another the morning of the 19th!

iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Gray (AT&T) for in store pickup at Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh purchased from Apple

No charge or hold whatsoever on my Chase card. Not worried. Been through this before with all the other iPhone iPad and Mac launches. Always gets sorted out on the end. As long as you've got an email with an order number that starts with W then you are good to go.

Gold 64 GB iPhone 6+, and regular iPhone 6 at the Apple Store The Falls in Miami,FL

Really hope the preorder line is short

I ordered a 64g silver 6 (AT&T) and will pick up at the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. My goal is to get there by about 6:30 so i'm not there too long after they open at 8.

It seems we need to get an email to tell us the phone is ready for pickup. I saw someone post somewhere on this site that they "think" the email should come the night before or or the next morning but does anyone have experience with this in the past?

I really want to go by the mall in the morning early before work and I will be very sad if I get up early to go and am told that I needed to come back because the email never came & it's not ready.

same here..

i'm hoping the preorder line is short and there's not that many stocks up for preorder.

Apple store Stonebriar Mall, Frisco TX

iPhone 6 + 128GB Gold.

I remember for iPhone 4, they had separate lines for people who had reservation. I had gone around 6 ish and was out of the door by 7.45.

I used to live in Anna, TX...and bowl in Allen, TX. Frisco is a really nice area. I didnt even know they had their own Apple Store but it makes sense.

In Manhattan we have a zillion and one Apple Stores and companies selling Apple products. I like the Grand Central Store the most because if it rains when waiting up at night you are inside.

I have mines for in store pick up on 9/19 since delivery dates were 10/1. It was ordered using a partial upgrade on another line. I am hoping to do a return and re buy using the correct line with the full upgrade. It worked for the 5s, but unsure if policies has changed. Can anyone chime in?

Same here in Los Angeles but it won't rain at any of the stores here because it doesn't rain in LA.

I'm picking up mine at The Grove. iPhone 6 Plus 64gb Gold :D

I called my local Apple store asking about when to show up etc, they said to be there when the store opens, I guess implying those of us with a reserved in-store pickup that shows 9/19 will already have their phones set aside and ready go.

My bank account shows a $1 pending charge from Apple (iTunes.com) thats been there for a few days since I preordered.

When I placed my preorder I chose 2 year contract but have since learned the ATT Next program makes sense for me - has anyone had experience with asking Apple to change the method of purchase on launch day? I called my store and they said it was possible, but the guy didn't seem overly positive like "Oh ya that's simple and easy no problem!" lol

Good to know that we will have a separate pile for us.

I had to pick up from the store because AT&T is stupid and would only let me ship to my address on file. (I just found the thread about changing the address, but feel like I am tempting fate trying to have them ship the order and to a different address.)

Here is my strategy, and yes I know that I have way over thought this.

I am in Las Vegas and only work like 5 minutes from the Apple store, I am going to go around 10:45am PT. The should allow the rest of the country to get through most the rush (East & Central time zones), and hopefully Apple will be able to correct any issues they are seeing with activation. Also this should be a nice time on the the West coast as the morning rush should be subsiding and the noon rush won't have started yet. This will also be on the tail end of the East & Central noon rush.
**Others on the west coast, you did see anything here. Don't screw this up for me! :p:p****

For the people who aren't seeing anything on the card, that is normal. Technically speaking Apple can't charge for the phone until you have picked it up or it has been shipped. Also, most card companies only hold authorizations on the account for 5-7 days. So if Apple auth'd the account on the 12th, a large number of them would have fallen off by the 19th. This causes headaches for Apple as some companies would charge the purchase back, and well Apple would get their money (Auths are good for 30 days) it would probably require extra work by some people in their offices. My guess is that Apple has done an address validation on each card, which checks that the card is valid and that the address provided for the billing address matches. This is a different type of "authorization" and typically doesn't show to the consumer as no monetary transaction is taking place.

When do you plan to show up for your in-store pickup? I don't know how early is too early considering it opens at 8...I technically have work starting at 8:30, but i can run late.

If you're in the US, they will send you an email when it's available, you can't go before.

For the iPhone 5, I didn't get my email that it was ready for pickup until 9:30AM, so I left work and got there around 10:30. Was in and out in 10 minutes.

When you pick up a phone from the store, do they open up the box and activate it? I prefer to just take the box home and do it myself - also considering I'm doing an upgrade swap, so the number associated with this upgrade is not my line.

Lastly - if you have AT&T, do they allow just an "authorized user" on the account to pick up the phone? I've been hearing conflicting answers as to whether or not the main account holder has to be present for pickup.
