Picked up a 2014 13" for 700$. Few questions.

I'm not the only who got that deal. Everyone who has attempted to get in on that deal was able to do so. Two data points: my daughter bought one and I bought one.

According to one of the guys at Best Buy, the "$100 off" pricing comes directly from Apple, it isn't a Best Buy-initiated deal.
 
Ordered 13 inch Base model for 811 bucks, choose home delivery cause local bestbuy had none avaliable

Their system will automatically pull up the sale price. Hand the cashier your coupon or if you have the electronic copy, just let them scan your phone. If you also have the 10 percent off movers coupon, hand them that one too. Their employees generally do not even know what day it is, let alone policy on coupon stacking.
 
I assume you have to buy it back in computers? I've generally found the employees back there are more particular about rules and such, whereas the front lanes could care less.
 
I completely forgot i had my movers coupon!!! I had it in a drawer! I would have loved to have saved even more! I bought the 11.6 128gb model for $799, then the $150 off for the student discount, and i had $25 in rewards certificates. I also drove to a best buy where there was 3.5% sales tax to pay less in that area. I ended up selling my 2008 unibody macbook on gazelle along with a samsung tablet and paid around $350 out of pocket, which I'm not too mad at! The movers coupon would have made the deal sweeter! What I am wondering though is if the student coupon could have been applied for open box macs. I've seen some really good prices as low as $650-$700. I didn't even try it because I read the fine print on the coupon and it said it couldn't be combined with other coupons or on clearance and open box. But seeing other people were able to add the 10% movers, chances are it could have been applied to an box unit.... Now i'm tempted to take a drive back and see if I can save some more money. Not sure if its worth it or not.

Congratulations. You bought the correct model. ;)

Depending upon 10% of "what" (original price, or after deductions) the savings may not be worth it. But if it isn't out of the way, sure...why not.
 
I just got a 13 inch MBA today. I used my edu coupon and went today to the post office to get the 10% movers coupon.

When I got to my bb it didn't show a sales price. Just showed regular price if 899 for the 13 MBA. Yes the coupon says can't be combined. At first the guy said that. I said can u at least scan them and if they take I'll buy it. He was cool, it scanned. 674 before tax, 714 total.

Just got the same deal! I am actually leaning toward returning my 13inch rMBP I purchased last week and using the Air instead. Sure the display isn't as good but I much prefer the form factor and lightness of the Air. It also doesn't hurt that it came out 500 less than I paid for my rMBP.

13 inch base model

100 off for sale
150 off for student discount
75 off for mover coupon
$675.00 plus tax out the door.
Cannot beat this deal!

They always say those things but if you get to a store you can talk to them or the manager and it works.

And sometimes you just present it and dont even have to get the manager involved as in my case.

It was such a good deal I couldnt pass it up as I was gungho on getting a surface pro 3 after I sold my ipad last month.
 
damn, i couldn't find the bestbuy mover's coupon despite going to two different USPS in san diego.

So I decided to give it a shot. The worst that could happen was they tell me I couldn't combine coupons. I wiped and packed up the 11.6 air and saw the same BB had an open box of a 13.3 air 256gb model for $999 before discounts. I explained to the customer service rep I was doing an exchange because the 11.6 didn't have enough space for me. She had someone bring it up, and I gave her the movers coupon and asked her to reapply the original edu discount. She did, she needed an override, a manager came over didn't even look at the coupon and I ended up getting the 13.3 256gb model for an extra $100!! I was super stoked to walk out of there with all of those discounts!

Here are the discounts:

now i'm wondering if i should pay $1,125 for 13' 8gb RAM & 128 ssd
or go with BestBuy base model 4gb & 128 ssd @ $812.99

I was able to pick up a 13 inch MacBook Air, 256GB at my local best buy tonight. Store clerk took my education discount and movers coupon with no questions asked. Tax and all I was out the door for about $930. If you're in the market for a new laptop this is a great deal.

Its funny cause I actually did move in May and they sent the packet to my new home last month. The coupon was attached to a square best buy paper/ad that fit in the envelope. The coupon that was sent to me was good until the end of July. Ive read about other people heading to post offices and picking them up. if you went to your local one, maybe they didn't have updated packages? If you haven't bought one yet, i'd try a different postal office and get the coupon. The extra savings are definitely worth it!
 
We'll guys it worked. Luckily it was so busy at my bestbuy that the clerk didn't have time to even think about the coupon. 13" MBA for $675 pre tax. As much as I wanted a MBPr, considering this was half the price I won't complain ;)

Congrats!! I know you were surprised how people were able to combine coupons as was I, but I 'm glad you went for and was able to take advantage of the deals!

damn... i'm the only one that is getting rejected. I rented a zip car to go to USPS far away from me to get the 10% moving coupon; which i did, yay!

I asked at TWO bestbuy to see if the coupon stacks with the $150 college student/ both rejected me :(
So I spent $20 on car rental and $8.50 on delicious fish burrito (delicioso!) to drown in sorrow.

I wanted 8gb anyways... *cries as looking at bank checking account*

Don't ask just go up there and give them when they're doing the register. If they say only one coupon allowed say just try it. It'll scan.

Yea I agree. Don't ask of they stack or anything. If you want to try going back and saying you forgot to use you're coupon. They should be able to apply both. Just hand it to the rep. I didn't ask any questions just said I have this coupon as well as the .edu coupon. No questions asked, not even a second thought from the rep.
