Means the battery will be shorter on each full charge. It aint lowering its marked price though ...

It's $100 cheaper than the 2018 and has been on sale since it's release. I picked up for $899 which is a bargain for a brand new MacBook in my opinion. The battery isn't bad. I get 10-12 hours video streaming. I'm not a huge fan of this keyboard yet but I've had no issues so far. I'm getting used to it.

I know nobody mentioned this but 2019 has a smaller battery at 49.9 watt-hr compared to 50.3 watt-hr from 2018. I honestly don't understand why they had to shrink the battery size.

Cost cutting measure? To make room for the true tone feature or butterfly keys v4 or cheaper ssd taking up more volume than the 2018 counterpart? I don't know.

What’s the benefit of having a smaller battery? Why did they do that? Is the True Tone display or v4 butterfly keyboard is the reason?

Is it worth it? Did the MacBook Air get lighter? Coz if not then what’s the point?

It is for cost cutting indeed, though I don't think the lighter part is the selling defecto.

I wonder if Apple will update the Air with the new 7w Comet Lake quad-core Y processor.

just updated the air in July. I don't think it will be updated again soon, maybe in late 2020..?
They basically just dropped the price and fixed the screen and keyboard. Early 2020 seems like a good time to update the Air.

Will Air have the bezel less screen that will be a big leap forward since the design haven't change like for ever.
Huh? What? The design of the MacBook Air drastically changed in 2018. Go to Apple's website and check it out.

Scissors switch may ultimately be more stable than butterfly switches. But we need some time to tell.
With that being said, your mileage may vary.
We have had 3 years to determine that butterfly switches are infiror to scissor switches. The majority can agree on that. The 2019 mba still rocks the butterfly keyboard.

Th rumored 16’ pro will have the new scissor keyboard, which will be added in all MacBooks.

If the butterfly was better than the scissor keyboard, Apple wouldn’t be going back to th scissor mechanism.

Today I was on bestbuy.com looking at the MacBook Airs. They are selling both the 2018 and 2019 models. The 2018 model is $100 more than the 2019 model. I asked an expert on the bestbuy chat why this is and they said that the main differences are the processor and the display. The 2018 has an LED display and the 2019 has an LCD display. This may be a stupid question but is one display better than the other? If someone could explain this more to me that would be great :) Thanks in advance!

The 2018 has an LED display and the 2019 has an LCD display.
The "expert" had absolutely no idea what he/she was talking about.
LCD = Liquid Crystal Display = display technology.
LED = Light Emitting Diode = lighting technology.

Despite the similar abbreviation these two have about as much in common as a radiator and a sandwich.
