I thought I'd point out that the soft internal material can trap dirt and also scratch your phone. I had a Sena leather holster/pouch that worked with my original and 3GS phones which I liked it alot.

Exactly... That's why a lot of people go with armor or invisible shield, etc... Also, the bumpers will usually cause wear along the outer band, especially with the iPhone 5 and its anodized coating...

This thread is useless but both of our iPhone 5's (mine and the gf's) black and white are still MINT.

Pics?? Maybe that would make your post less useless. :)

Your definition of mint may differ from mine.

Thats just how I roll.

I'm really happy the OP has a perfect phone.
I'm indifferent. Mint condition iPhones are everywhere, what I'm interested in are pics of scratched/scuffed/damaged ones. It's more interesting to see what our iPhones might look like in the future vs photos of them in the past.

in process

When I saw the white one my first comment was...why didn't they make a black and silver model???? It would have looked so much better!!!

So, my first iPhone 5 had no cosmetic defects...but the home button only worked half the time and the usage meter said it has almost 3 days of usage out of the box...included cellular data usage!

I brought it to the Apple store for the home button...they swapped it out...now I have a perfect unit that had 1 minute of usage when I checked it on the way out of the store. More like it :)

The perfect iPhone is seen about as frequently as this.

The green flash.

Your SIM card tray on your black iPhone is slightly recessed and not flush... Not a big deal but just wanted to point that out... Nice phone otherwise!!

Not what I would call a flaw to be honest, and probably only visible as these are incredibly close up macro shots.

"Perfect phone"

Give it a week and we'll see ur "Waaaaa!" post.

It's already been well over a week ;)

Actually I used the same kind of pouch for my 4S. One year on and the phone was still immaculate.

Gentle tap of the pouch against a shelf or table every now and then to make sure that any lint comes out. Never actually saw any come out though TBH.

Maybe the mods will be kind enough to merge them all, after all there is an incredible amount of new posts since the iPhone 5 launch so Im sure you'll forgive me right? :)

Sir Ruben can you share your wallpaper please! Thx

It's somewhere in the iPhone 5 wallpapers thread as far as I believe. Looks better on the black than it does on the white.

I like the idea a lot! Where'd you get the carbon fiber from and does it leave scratches/residue on the glass?

Might want to rock this with my clear frost Diztronic TPU

No, it doesn't leave any residue or scratch. And please, for the love of all that is holy, stop using 'rock' as a verb.

Mine was nearly perfect out of box and still shows no damage after nearly 2 weeks with no case. Pics taken with my iPad in bad lighting.

Had 2 perfect black iPhone 5s out of the box.

perfect is subjective really...

anyway, does anyone else find it ironic that we are using the term "mint" to describe the perfect phone when the origin of that term comes from coin-collecting and a coin being "mint" (as in it just came from the factory) yet coins are really an enemy of the new iphone?

Only pic of the phones I have lol, I'll post actual phone later on when I get home from work.

I definitely meant mint as in brand spankin' new out of the box lol.

Thanks for understanding my humor, lol!! I hope they're in great condition out of the box, too! :)

With all the banged up, smashed, scuffed, and bent iPhone 5's on this forum you may be reconsidering the purchase of an iPhone 5. In reality its usually just the bad stuff that gets posted on a forum. I look at some of the pics and if I didn't already have 2 perfect phones they may well put me off.

So in light of that I present both my black/slate and silver/white models (which have been used naked I might add) for your viewing pleasure! If you look after the gadgets you own, then THIS is what you can expect to see, enjoy :D:

Im not planing on going naked for good though (no point in tempting fate!) so here is the case that I will be using. I'm really fussy about my cases and wont use shells etc as I have seen these actually scratch the sides of phones when taking on and off. This case is super soft inside, and the pull flap magnetically closes when the phone is inserted:

What's up with that cigarette pack holder you have your iphone in?

Sooo....why didn't you re-take them in good lighting before posting?
