Love all your photos! Makes me want to buy the 44mm one! I notice none of the watches have cases. Are they not easy to scratch or break?

I have the series 2 38mm with case coz I’m very accident prone and keep hitting me watch on doors, tables etc. Hoping someone can post a photo comparing a 38mm and the 44mm too (with or without case) :)

44mm Space Black w/Ultra Violet Sport Band

Love your ultra violet band! Did you buy it separately at the apple store?

The watch looks great! But I have to say that I'm not a fan of that nylon band...I think it looks too narrow and 'thin' (the actual thickness of the material, and the way it loops so loosely where it attaches to the watch) for the watch. Personally, I think leather would look really good with your watch. I also ordered the 44mm Gold SS. :)

Around 7" give or take. I don't have a measure tape with me so I can only guesstimate. Yeah, I do agree that it looks a bit big on my wrist but when I tried the 40mm, I found that I like the 44mm screen size better. Besides, I do not have to wait for them to restock.
I think a different band that holds the watch closer to your wrist and doesn't flare out at the attachment point might also help reduce the visual prominence of the watch against your wrist. I'd say you should consider trying some different bands to see whether you like the way they look better than this band. I am find that I'm really not a fan of these 'fabric' (whatever they're made of) type bands...

I said to myself, I would wait..I have no willpower..lol! Woke up and say many of the stores in the Philly area had them. Many sold out within minutes expect one about 20 miles from me.

Absolutely love this watch! BIG BIG upgrade from my Series 1!

Is that the original space black steel link band I see with the watch?! Looks fantastic! I have the same Apple band in steel to go with my old (current) Series 2 steel. Getting the gold SS now, and hope they will make a matching gold SS link band -- since they are producing them again for the first time in over a year!

Blue horizon... rose red and nylon close the ring band

I really like the Rose and the Blue. I hate the nylon. I normally like nylon fabrics...but these particular watch bands just don't do it for me. I think they look too narrow for the watch width. Maybe before the size increase they would have been a better fit. I think Apple needs to increase the band width or flare them near the connection point. I think the Rose Red looks particularly nice (choosing between Red and Blue). Enjoy! I'm still waiting for my Watch to ship!

I must confess I never think to use nail polish - I bit my nails for years and only managed to quit about a year ago. They were so ugly, I didn't want to show them off in any way lol. I should definitely treat myself now though!
Yeah... Nailbiters really do end up with ugly nails, generally unusually short and makes their fingers look stubby. It’s one of my biggest irrational pet peeves. But I didn’t know they could grow back to look so perfect. Your nails look absolutely amazing! Weird to say on an Apple forum but hey, since it was mentioned..... lol. I’m just a sucker for nice hands :D

Could you please post pics in this thread of your 44mm Apple Watch on your wrist?
44mm stainless steel with white sport band. I kinda have small wrists but I’m using the larger band size. Showed a pic of my size adjustment if that helps. Also included a pic of my 44mm SS S4 (white band) next to my old 42mm SS S0 (black band) for size comparison. The difference is negligible, if any. I feel like the bands still fit exactly the same.

Having felt very self-conscious after biting them for so long, that’s a really lovely comment to hear, thank you. :)

Funnily enough, when I got married recently, my beautician kept saying how lovely and strong they were despite years of abuse. She was a bit miffed because she’s always looked after hers yet they are dry and brittle.

Anyway, I’ll probably get in trouble for going off-topic, so I’ll just add that I LOVE the eclipse watch face you’re rocking there. :D

Here is my two watches, (Left) Casio GWG-1000-1A 59.5mm & (Right) Apple Watch Space Gray Aluminum 44mm.

Am i crazy to see that 44mm is too small for me... i wish it was big as Casio o_O

OMG i love that black sport loop - sooooo confortable..

I wonder if AW was made in Japan, I'm sure it will be build like a tank as Casio :D

You’re very welcome! And thank you! It’s a pic (not mine) of the eclipse last summer. It’s actually a bit more orange in person but my phone wouldn’t capture it for some reason.

I actually bought sport loop separately and love it! I think Milanese loop is just too big on me even though I got the combo for a more formal occasion or business casual/office setting☹️

Cx my Apple SB SS Series 4 order with Mid-Oct Delivery

Ordered a S4 SS Gold thru Best Buy. Get it Wed. Used a Gift Card of 188.00.

Wasn't feeling all black watches any more. These pics here swayed me.

Will wear the new black sport loop with it. Using it with my SS S0 atm.

I think the black bands subdue the gold, so it doesn't look too formal--IMO

An Apple rep at BB had a ALU Gold with black band and it looked fine. I just prefer the SS.

While I will likely get the 44, I think in 5 years we will look back and laugh at how huge these look. They are really big on most wrists. We convince ourselves how good they look, me included, because we want the newest and best.

I disagree. I think the screen size is perfect on Series 4. I’m sure they will stretch it out even further to the edges but honestly it’s pretty close now.

If you’re talking about thickness I agree it can get a ittle thinner but by no means do I feel the Series 4 is chunky. I felt the Series 3 was chunky and bulbous on my wrist but with Series 4 I don’t feel like that at all. I plan on keeping my SBSS 4 for at least 2-3 years. :)

I just want to point out the hopefully obvious...

MANY of these pictures were taken with the camera very close to the wrist and watch, which makes sense because people are showing off their new watch. However if you do this the watch will look massively larger due to the angle of perspective vs. a normal distance. Try taking more pictures of your entire arm and the watch, or even better get a shot that includes your whole torso and I think you'll see that many of these 44mm watches look normal even on smaller wrists.

My wrist is about 165 mm. This is the 42mm SBSS S3 (sorry to hijack the thread, I'll have my 44mm SBSS S4 soon... come on Apple!) but it is the exact same watch, in the exact same position but taken from very different angles. One looks absurdly large, the other not so bad in my opinion. Perspective matters when seeing the watch!

THIS^^

I held my S0 and the S4 side by side on my wrist in Apple Store and the footprints were virtually identical.
