After a 6 mile run I was just playing around while cooling down and took a couple of pics. I took the first one and then decided to try it in Portrait Mode and see the difference. The fist thing was framing. I had to back up some to get about the same framing. Seems to do a digital zoom in. Next the Portrait Mode pic over all looks much more processed and VERY digitized/un-natural. What do others find?

Ooh man the X's camera is amazing. I still have a 6 but am really thinking of upgrading to the X in a few months for my trip to London - so I can put the camera to good use. My only dilemma is that my trip is in August and it wouldn't make much sense to get the X by then since a new one will be released several months after :(

That ugly old man red Cadillac is very distracting in the picture, but I’m not seeing much for any distortion in your Portrait Mode Photo. The HDR photo seems to have more natural colors, but with more subtle lighting. Sometimes outside photos are the most Difficult to judge. I find portrait mode to be much more detailed focusing on something rather close.
