I believe you'll find the Harry Caray statue at the corner of Clark and Addison, which I think is the southeast corner of the ballpark.

Beautiful pictures in this thread, everyone. I'm a couple months away from being able to afford a DSLR, but I'm saving up for a Nikon D50.

Haven't been skiing in years. But this picture makes me want to go up to those sloops and ski down in to the clouds. It would be like flying IMO. Thanks for sharing.

Bravo on a great image. If there is any issues that I have is that the background colors do not match the Polaroid image. But still in awe over this image.

Thanks.

I actually did have the background and the polaroid matching in color, but decided to blend a b&w version with the color version of the background, so only the polaroid is the "true representation" of the scene.

Bravo on the first image with your new lens. :)

I mean that sincerely.

You need to take this image into Nikon Capture (the free trial download) and see why this 10.5 lens is truly a gem that few realize. :)

Would love you to post the other interpretation of this shot.

Can't it "straighten out" the fish-eye effect?

Is so, I'd like to see an after photo if you do give it a pass through that app!

That was what I was talking about. You should do a search here to see my posts on the 10.5 and Capture.

Here are two pictures showing uncorrected and corrected images in Nikon Capture.

And a couple other examples of just the fish-eye effect.

Nice, nice. That definitely looks like something to really experiment with, since the curves can be fixed if needed. I almost bought the fisheye when I purchased the d70s, but decided to just play with the 18-70 for now.

I'll just add the fisheye to the list of future lenses to buy (which currently includes the 105mm VR, the 50mm 1.8, and a Lensbaby of some sort).

And about the polaroid... I'll keep an eye out for contests. I'm honestly clueless on the second-half of art (whether it's writing, video, or photography). I just do it for the sake of doing it, and never think about competitions for the stuff. I shall read further into it!!
