Behold 3.2 megapixels in all it's glory!

Nothing special, shot this the morning after a rainstorm.

BryanP, that's a great shot! Congrats
Cassie, I didn't think anyone besides me still used 3.2 Mp cams! :) Which one do you have?

Here's mine for the day. This one is used as a custom cover on my cell phone.
Canon S1 IS, no flash, f4.5 (I think), 1/60, 233 mm equiv, just resized for web (I think I also ran it through noise ninja)

Sure was foggy in Minnesota today, wasn't it? Nice shot, though. I want to go shooting in St. Paul sometime soon if we can get a nice day.:D

Yeah, but it is nice to have a bit of warmth for a change too!

Thanks for the compliment, and I look forward to your St.Paul shots :)

Here is another shot, with the Minneapolis library in the foreground, and the IDS tower in the more central far background.

Great shot!

I wonder what frequencies that thing is picking up? If they can get Dish or XM for free that is totally not fair!!

Almost anything you throw at it! Too bad the internal speaker is not that great...

Seriously, my camera is starting to show it's age, or I'm getting pickier about my pics. Most of my macros have a bit of noise even at ISO 50, so a quick pass through Noise Ninja and it's good to go :)

Very nice again! Do you live in Minneapolis or very near it? I'm in the south metro, ever get to Chaska? Here is a shot from there.

It's not that bad, I'd just straighten the horizon, and as fas as the left side goes it's nothing a little burn can't fix. The PP work looks almost HDR to me.

thanks! i exposed for the sky, buildings, and water in camera raw, and combined all 3 versions in PSE. took a while, but I suppose I'll get faster. anyway, I just straightened the image and cropped it, which gets rid of some of the problems on the left. as I said, I'm new to photoshop, and couldn't do much burning without making things look weird. any tips for this?
thanks,
will

Sorry for the late reply,
Have you tried to just burn the highlights, with a soft brush set at roughly
15-20 range. Also you might try the shadow/highlight filter to lower the highlights. Simply make a selection of that area, fearther it, then copy to new layer and use that method.

Taken Christmas Eve in Toyooka mura (village) with Nikon 105 mm VR macro lens at f/2.8.

Come to think of it, I'm submitting this into the Assignment thread as well. Haha....2 for 1 deal.

The result of some test shots with Canon's 50mm f/1.4. The conclusion... I'm usually an L-series snob, but this is a pretty impressive little lens, especially for the price! Anyone else have one of these, or the f/1.8, with any thoughts?

GnarleyMarley87, could you tell me where on Spring St. you took this picture? I work right around there (Standard Building at Luckie and Forsyth) and have never seen this staircase!

I had never seen it before either until Friday....

The staircase itself isn't on Spring St., but on Harris St. between Spring St. and Centennial Olympic Park Dr. I was just lazy when I put where I took the actually photo and didn't feel like trying to remember where it was.
