I think this is a really nice image. Great control of DOF.

But it definitely has a green colour cast. I had a look at it in PS. When you correct, using the top of the snakes head, the cast dissapears. Then you can see the light from a red incubation lamp in the top-right hand corner that probably threw your white balance off.

I hope you don't mind me messing with your image and reposting it. I think it's a really nice picture and it reminds me that I should get down to Copenhagen Zoo and take some pictures. Well done on a good capture!:)

Thanks for the kind words and of course I dont mind if you "play with" my image. I love the realism your edit brings! Hopefully one day I can identify these problems and fix them myself.

That was fun! Here's another.

I slightly enhanced the natural reds of the habitat, but that's about it.

With its cooler, drier weather, fall is festival time in Korea. Papier mâché men loiter under some tall pines, awaiting their turn.

the red severed-head guy reminds me of the conklin carnie/clown from the midway we used to have at the local zellers when I was a kid (or the CNE).

Is this a cool graphics card or WHAT?!! Spent the early afternoon happily shooting my new Mac Pro as I was unpacking and setting her up.... Definitely the most elegant computer innards I've ever seen!

Marvelous! You're using light halos to good effect.

10/3/06 - West Monroe, LA.

I have these magna-weeds in my yard that grew up literally overnight. When I got home today, I noticed they bloomed these flowers, so I decided to snap a shot. Insane looking bokeh - a product of the five bladed aperture in my 50 f/1.8. Can't wait to get the f/1.2L.

I'm ususally a bit "meh" over most flower shots, but this is fantastic. The colours and the pattern is just brilliant. Good stuff. :)

Thanks Lau! I'm the same way about flower shots. But when I saw this one, it made me stop and think about this very thread. I have another as well, but I'll wait until tomorrow to post it.

Indian model and up-and-coming Bollywood actress, Katrina was arriving at the Taj where she will be shooting her next movie, entitled Namaste London. One second earlier she was looking in my direction, but before I could compose the shot, her head turned as she began to take off her full-sleeve shirt.

Edit: Fixed the spelling of her name and the hyperlink. She's also described here in Wikipedia.

Wow...I really like this one for multiple reasons. Mostly because your subject is quite easy on the eyes. ;) Anyway, the guy on the left holding his hand out is a nice touch as well.

Only thing I have to say I wish it had...I wish her shoes wouldn't have gotten cut off...they look like some damn sweet shoes.

I love the grain. I can just feel the fresh, electric air as the autumn storm approaches.

Thanks...she is quite striking in person as well as her photos. As for the shoes, well, one has got to leave something for the imagination! :)
