I thought the Runestone would be a little more 'cosmic'. Needs more hops. Lots more hops...

The upside down labels is cute. I thought it was originally a mistake, and they are making a lot out of it, for sure...

Tangent: I remember getting an Arizona Tea with two caps. Two, literally on the same glass bottle. I still can't figure out how they did it without shattering the neck of the bottle, and how I got both caps off with a pair of channel locks, and didn't shatter it either. That was amazing...

The case I have also has the Stone IPA. YUM!!!

This years offering was super spiced! More spice than I remember it having. Cheers!

I don't know if you are a Stone fan or not, but they just re-released their Black IPA... Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA!!! Everywhere i have been checking, it has sold out. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

I'm on the east coast so I tend to get Stone's latest after a few months. We do luck out though. I did find a store the first year I had this amazing concoction, and they had 2 cases they got some how fresh, and with in literal days of it being announced. It was awesome. How did I get some? They 'over bought'. *shrug* I was lucky...

Atomic Pumpkin for this year seemed to be spicier too. Makes it a good test for Covid infections. If you can feel the burn, you are okay...😆😆😆

I did indeed! I have a storage area in my basement where I age my favorite stouts

I have only been able to last about a year and then I must consume it lol. However, now that it is widely available, that might change! I have found KBS is good for about six months or so in the aging. I did it for a year and wasn't pleased with the results. Not that it didn't taste ok, but it definitely lost a little of the gust and flavor. For that one, six months or less. I don't know if you have aged in of the big stouts from "The Bruery"... but boy those are delicious with a year or more on them!!!

Have 2 bottles of Black Tuesday aging now :) Also, I have a 2017 KBS that I'm going to open over the weekend. I'll post up my thoughts on it

Black Tuesday's are amazing and aging them makes them that much better. I had one for close to 17 months in the cellar and it came out amazing! I did a 2018 KBS and I wasn't impressed. I haven't done one since. Great beer by the way! Let me know how the three plus years of aging go!

I also did a CBS version for a year and it came out great!!!

I am wondering if my batch of KBS was a little off or something...

Yeah, KBS is sometimes hit or miss for me. I REALLY liked 2017 fresh, but 2018 was not that great (have one aging as well). Same with Goose Island BCBS - some years are great fresh and age well, and some are just...meh

Absolutely feel the same way about Goose Island. Last years coffee, was, do I dare say it, horrible. That is usually one of my favorites from the batch. This year, I just stuck to the reserve and standard issue. I have both aging right now. Also drank one of each fresh. They are tasty this year! Which makes me want to crack open the other ones... now! HAHAHA

A few years ago, and yes, it was 2017, I managed to lay hands on several bottles of both KBS and CBS, and - with heroic restraint - reserved a few for a year or so.

Side by side, and tasted and tested together, while both were very good, - to my palate - the CBS simply aged better and tasted better.

Heard it sold out with the quickness

This years HopSlam mini kegs sold out in days, I've heard. They came up with a new design this year too. Damn... The local store had 6! Yes, SIX for the entire store. They opened the box, and they were gone. I can try to import a whole 'case' for $65.00. Wow...
