Could not resit when I read its name in the menu 😀

The name is indeed striking, but the actual label is gorgeous, reminiscent of the wonderful work of William Hogarth, or George Cruikshank or Thomas Rowlandson and their ilk.

What is the beer like?

Does it live up to the promise of name and label?
I know — the art is beautiful!
It's a very nice English style dark ale. I really enjoyed it and even bought some at a gas station. Now I need to try to find it where I live 😀

Me too! I wouldn't say it's my go-to, but I sure do love them.

Likewise.
Honestly I love all types of beer, except for IPA — too hoppy and bitter for my taste.
Agreed that IPA is something of an acquired taste, one I have yet to acquire fully - your description is absolutely accurate; indeed, it is a beverage I only ever (and occasionally, at that) sip, sample and savour in summer.

Usually only when I want something reasonably light, and nothing better is available.

Yes, that says it — when nothing better is available))) I remember years ago my former boss decided to throw a beer party. And ordered 6 or 7 types... of IPA! FML)
