Maybe one day. Did you build it yourself?

Does it have a radio and everything?
I bought it as a shell with wheels. I rebuilt it ... front end, brakes, wheels, roll bar, windshield, seats, transmission, lights. The engine is one I rebuilt and had on the shelf for another project. I don't want a radio.

Well I no longer have a car :(

Man they age well...

Many thanks for the kind words! I take great pride in maintaining it to the highest standard.
The E46 is one of BMW's most timeless designs, up there with the E9 coupe, the Z8, and the E31, in my humble opinion.

The interior has aged just as gracefully, I think.

I posted this in the 2015 section but this is technically a 2016 car!!! Still haven't gone to the gas station after 2 months of owning this!

Sweet! Same here (not having used gas in months) I've barely heard the engine come on. I love this car! Yours looks nice in the grey. I test drove it in the signature blue, had to have that color.

Those are some awesome figures. I've considered going electric since I have such a short commute. I'd be interested in how much your electricity bill has changed, considering petrol is so cheap right now ($1.35/gal unleaded 87 locally).

I've always been curious to ask owners of the Volt, how much does charging the car impact your electric bill? How much of an increase does it make compared to before you had the car?

Back in 2013 when I first bought a plug in hybrid (Ford C-MAX Energi) I saw about a $7 increase in my electric bill, and since then about $10 overall. There's been no change in my bill from the C-MAX to the Volt. The C-MAX I used to have to charge every day, but it had about half battery capacity. It charged fully in about 5 hours and so it was easy to set it to charge only during the cheapest non-peak hours. The Volt I only need to charge twice a week for my commute, but it has a much higher battery capacity. It takes from 8 to 12 hours to fully charge in the 12V charging mode, so even though I charge less often, it may be partially during peak hours and longer. The cost seems to be about the same as my bill hasn't gone up.

My car's energy use reads comparative to 250+ MPG.

I've never even had to charge it outside of my house, but that's another great benefit if your work provides chargers, hotels/places you shop or travel. When I travel, I just take my wall charger with me; I've found many hotels will allow you to plug in and get a free charge. (To secure the charge cable from theft, I just run it under the hood- something people don't think to do even if they don't park in a secure garage). Better still is if places have their own 240V charge stations. I've been toying with the idea of getting one for my garage as it adds even more energy efficiency, but so far I've never been dissatisfied with just plugging straight into the wall outlets.

We had an electrician install an outlet on its own circuit, because at first my C-MAX used to occasionally blow out a fuse because it was on the same circuit as a pair of space heaters we used. Since switching that out- no problems with blown fuses.

Back in September 2015, the electric company dropped a 5000v powerline on my house- it arced through into the house's electrical system, blew up the fuse box and destroyed most of the electrical appliances in my house. (We're still involved in a suit for them to replace all that was damaged.) My Ford C-MAX was plugged in in the garage- went to start it and it seemed dead. AAA came out and jumped it, and other than being nearly factory-reset, it was fine. Of course I took it to Ford to inspect it fully- it survived unscathed a massive power spike that fried just about everything else that was plugged in.

@Zaap Wow! That's amazing. I was expecting to hear the hit on your bill to be a lot more significant than $7-10 per month.

Are you able to post pics of the car charging, like the plug-ends on both sides?

The plug and a pretty big 'wall wart'.

Charge cable end and car plug look like this. Thankfully a standard format- my Ford cable was exactly the same and any public charge station will be this same attachment.

Thanks for that!

EV's sound really cool and I'd consider one for my next vehicle if I didn't live in an apartment complex - no indoor, or safe area to charge.

I leased a new Ford Focus SE in November and its amazing on fuel economy, even compared to the Fusion I had before it, and definitely better than the 2003 F-150 before that! I've spent a total of about $143 in fuel on the Focus since November, which is a vast improvement for me.

Just picked her up in December :) It's been quite a change from my last truck ('09 5.7L CrewMax Tundra w/lift, exhaust, etc). But the new guy fits in the garage and is a bit more efficient. I was averaging 13 MPG in the Tundra, and now it's a bit more like 18. And it's way prettier, loving the red.

Sadly it's been in the shop for a couple weeks due to a guy pulling out in front of me to cross 6 lanes of traffic at once (d'oh). But it was drivable and their insurance is paying for it. Should have it back next week. In the meantime I'm having to deal with a rental car that I feel like I'm going to get run over in, haha.

Nice pickup. I've been eyeing the TRD Tacoma in quicksand. Just don't want to give up my 3 series.

Wow, thats far less of a cost than I imagined.

Nice I love the new Ford Focus. Before my C-Max (and a 2011 CRV) I had a 2006 Focus 5 door, and a 2000 (3 door) before that. Love the color, and those black wheels look really nice on it.

Hey everybody, this is my 15 F-150 ecoboost! I posted in a previous forum about this truck 6 months ago when I first brought it home. The Truck now has 23,500 miles, been tuned for 93 gas by 5* tuning (fast as **** now), added BF K02, Raptor-style grille lights, and many more mods to come!
The tune has given it over 400Hp and 500ft/lbs of torque

That's a nice build, how much power is it putting down on e85? And I'm just why didn't you go for the full gusto and get the abarth?

I bought a new car. It's a BMW 1-series (MY2013) with M package, leather seats, xenon and sunroof etc
Very pleased!

the 1 series sedan is god awful ugly to me. that hatch is very cool. i don't know why we can't get cars like this in the US. if we ever get the RS6 avant, i'm all over it. i bought the only RS6 ever to make it stateside in 2004. cool car, but it wasn't the avant.
