I used to be a manual fanatic. But, I am a convert simply because it is almost as good as a manual (it has a 6 speed auto with a paddle shifter) and the stop-and-go traffic in the town/city areas make the manual an unattractive option for me. So far, I don't find this car boring. But, each person is entitled to his or her own opinion and preference.
First off, it's a beautiful car, know that I'm filled with envy. Sorry I didn't mention that right off the bat. Secondly, please excuse my ignorance. Paddle shifters sound pretty sweet, and it definitely is the more practical way to go and still have fun. Where are you from?
Love the RX-8, but I'm just wondering one thing - Why does yours have a redline at 7500? I thought they all had a 9k redline. Maybe it's because of the automatic transmission.

For a 6-speed auto RX-8, Mazda had to reduce the red line by about 1000 rpm via-a-vis an 6-speed manual model, because the automatic cannot take a 9000 rpm spin. So, 35 hp loss (auto has 215 hp while a manual has 250 hp) is caused by the reduced red line. I was told the manual's extra 35 hp (compared to the auto) is squeezed out by those extra 1000 rpm spins.Love the RX-8, but I'm just wondering one thing - Why does yours have a redline at 7500? Handling dynamics should be the same for both a manual and an automatic model as both are relatively light and have 50/50 weight balance.
Cool man, thanks for the info. I figured that was the case, but wasn't sure. Manual or Automatic, the RX-8 is still a great car. I've seen a couple around here (very small town) and just about every time I see one, I'm looking at it and drooling.

That's such a nice car such a distinctive cool shape.
There's one round the corner from us here, but it's a horrible green colour and in bad shape compared to yours. I still always eye it up though.

There were not many good original colors. I've choosen that dark blue/green (NOT original) after a long period of deliberation. Do you like it? It is quite a task to keep it in that condition believe me.
You've got photos to share of that Citroën DS?! It was the predecessor of the CX! Cult pure! Almost each french movie of the fifties and sixties shows it.
Yes. Gorgeous too. There were not many of it. I've seen just one or two running on the streets. Maserati engine!

When they refrained to build real steel front and rear bumpers in the mid-eighties they've unlearned to construct cars since then in my honest opinion.
The limou has a giant electric sliding roof, fine black leather interiours, air condition, steering wheel with just one torque arm, speed-adjustable power steering (the world's first variable one), height corrector and the by far softest suspension and best roadholding. You should take any opportunity to drive such an old Citroën and you'll believe it.

Nice! The WRX/STI are one of my most fav. cars. It looks like the Bugeye model started in 01' for the UK? Ours hit the shores in late 01' but were 02' models.

1997 Peugeot 306 XSi
I like it, its much smaller in size than the Mondeo that I was driving, but has a larger engine. I love it. Had to replace the nearside indicator on sunday and bought new front speakers for it, but other than that, its really nice and fun to drive
