I might be buying this from my aunt in the next year or two. It's a Florida car it's entire life, driven only in the sun. Near mint condition. It's a 1980 Datsun 280ZX.

Anybody that wants a fast ride go with the Yamaha YZF-R1 This bike is like 600lb dry and has 180hp. Talk about fast. A cool website to see fast cars is www.streetfire.net

600lbs? Where did you get that information? I see it's around 480lbs dry.

Hope you like as much as me ! :D

What in the world is that? I can't find the place to put a car seat, so it won't work for me. :)

It's a Lotus Elise, and it's an amazing car. So very sexy. Philgr, I envy you.

I was really surprised at the price on these things. First impression of the car was "That thing has to cost over 100K' but surprisingly you can pick them up for about 1/2 that or less. Now all I need to do is find a dealer and I will be set:)

Thanks for the comments guy's :D

The car is a lotus Exige,
It has a 1.8 toyota engine with 190 bhp but only weigh's 890kg, performance stats are 0-60 (4.9 sec), 0-100 (11.5sec) Vmax (149)

But its handling where it is very very special, it will out handle and out brake pretty much any thing. It has been described as having the handling of a house fly :D

But but but... there's nothing in it! Haha. :D Saw a couple at a track day my boyfriend and I went to. Got to sit in one. I'm pretty er... petite and it hurt my knees trying to get in and out!

And it's so bare... it is only meant for honest motoring-- nothing else! In that sense, the $40-50K price tag feels steep because not that many people have the disposable income for such a 'luxury' item. ;)

I'd place a bet that a scion will outlast a subaru in long term ownership. As far as quality goes, The interior of the WRX is just as cheap as the scion lineup.

You must not know much about Subarus. Subarus are known for there long life spans. I know tons of people who drive beat up old Subies from the 70s and 80s with hundreds of thousands of miles on them. They just keep running. And sure the WRX interior isn't that spiffy (well the newer ones are actually better now, but the exterior looks horrendous), but it beats the Scions in performance (though it costs a lot more). I don't think there's really any competition between the two. If you can afford a WRX you'd be stupid to get a Scion, and if you can't afford a WRX you'd be stupid to get a WRX.

Actually, In europe the engine is a lotus engine. In the US, we have the toyota engine due to smog regulations. Of corse it has been tweeked a little...

You gotta admit, the Subaru Baja is a pretty cool vehicle.
Saidly, they are not making any more. They have had very slow sales (but my uncle has one and boy has he tricked it out (( 0-60 in less than 5 seconds)) )

This is what this little house fly can do to a Apache Attack Helicopter.

I always thought these types of comparison were dumb (no offense). People tend to think that comparing a car/truck to an aircraft makes it look better, but I cannot figure out why.

It reminds me of a video of a motorcycle and a jet taking off from a standstill to see which one is fastest. Why does anyone care how fast a jet can do 0-60?

If it were a real comparison, let's see how the car compares in the long haul, say over 1000nm, and compare the times. Or let's see how each one does in warfare and compare the results. ;) How many people are comparing a car to a jet for a purchase decision anyway?

I don't think that show was comparing those two pieces of transportation on accordance of speed, but more of the maneuverability.

But, yes i do agree with you. I just thought it was kind of suprising that they compared a multi-million dollar attack helicopter to a mer $30,000+ sport compact race car.
