I attached some pics of nighttime photos to compare the quality. I was surprised by the outcome of the comparison.

Wow! I have an iPhone 4 with a clear case. Always thought my pics were a bit fuzzy when I used flash. Took off the case and it really helped! Thanks!

My pictures taken with the flash on my 4S suck. They are really washed. I've tried it with and without the case, same result. It probably has nothing to do with the actual phone, but right before the camera actually takes the picture and the flash lights up for a second, on the screen that looks great. But when it actually snaps the photo it looks bad. Not a huge deal, but kinda annoying.

Ha, well apparently posting on this thread was just what the doctor ordered. I took a few pics in low light to test it out and show examples. And wouldn't you know it, they look great.

Misty pics from 4S with flash

Hi all, Have just joined MacRumors and read with interest re the "misty" or "foggy" pics. Bought my 4S yesterday...tried the camera..."not happy Jan!!!".... read all your forums...I was getting the foggy pics with the flash. So I removed the pretty white bling cover I bought from the phone...and flash photography just fine now. Guess just that mm or so blocks the flash. Will return cover and discuss the problem. Will keep practicing with the phone camera.
