Looks quite good to me, at least as far as "Someone else could like that and it doesn't look so bad to me." I like the white/silver combos much better. I've been getting white iPhones and iPads since they've been available and have a 42mm SS with WSB on order. Heck, the Otterbox I just got for my iPhone is white and grey.

I don't get why Apple didn't sell the watch faces in one box and sell all the bands separately. What if you're a big fan of a black and red sports team like me? Maybe I want the black face and will find a red band elsewhere. That saves me the $50 for a band and lets me spend it elsewhere.

I'm guessing they figured they didn't want to sell a "watch" without a band in the box.

I put a blue sport band on my Space Grey. I wasn't sure it'd look good but I ended up loving it!

OP - did you manage to ever try on a 38mm? Seems like that might have been a better fit given your wrist size.

Always looks much bigger in pics for some reason. Looks perfect in reality.

Looks damn fine #

I just picked up a black sport band in my local Apple Store today; I'm glad to finally be rid of the white band! I think that the silver and black make for a handsome combination that doesn't stand out quite as much as the white band. It's nice to have something that doesn't scream out "HEY, LOOK, I HAVE AN APPLE WATCH!!!"

Besides, the watch that I wore before this was a blasted steel with a black band, so it's also great to have that look back again on my wrist!

Just of note, that's the 38mm watch - I have tiny wrists.

That looks really good. Almost like it was made to be sold sold right alongside the first iPhone. It's the first watch/band combo that's made me (almost) reconsider my Space Grey Sport.

No, it's not offered not because it would take away from the ss band. It's because the ss is far better looking haha

Same. It actually made me have to look down at my wrist and look at my watch another time. Still like my Space Grey but damn that silver and black is a really close 2nd.

Started with a blue sport, but just got this one today. And the manicure, of course!

I think it looks great but for $150 more I personally think the stainless steel with sapphire glass is more appealing.

Bonkers decision on Apple's part not to make BSB an option on purchase with the Sport, especially considering that you can just buy it separately to fit the Sport anyway. Was it just to ensure that a large portion of Sport purchasers would buy a second band, thus increasing their overall spend?

Looks great and you've inspired me to order one myself, now! Thanks for posting the pics.

I think it looks like a classic watch and quite understated looking which is what I wanted.

That's the best blue-band combo I've seen. The black of the watch adjacent to the blue really makes the band glow.

Again, I think it's down to having only two tones/colors in the entire watch: black and blue. When you add a third tone, the whole thing loses integrity and starts to look like a disparate collection of parts.

Every close up shot I take makes it look huge, the two pics below (taken from much further back) are a much better indication of how it really looks. Just right I reckon:

Looks great man. Thanks for sharing.
Agree: classic look.

My 42mm SG + BSB arrives Tues.
Pumped.

Mmmm. That looks awesome. I was considering the navy leather band, but maybe the $50 blue sport band might satiate my alt band desires...

That combo does look great. Much better than the SG BSB combo we're forced into buying. I'd love to see that watch with some leather loops pics. Tempted to change but I still love SG. Has me thinking though.

I was going to get this combo...but to me it still stands out too much. the space grey adds another degree of minimalism to it.

to each their own

Op I think your place on aluminum looks great. If I had a sport if have this combination :)

Its an unusual combination mainly because its not available as an option from Apple. Nevertheless I bought a sport with white strap and ordered the black strap separately. I personally think the end result looks really nice, in fact Im glad I didn't get the SS as every pic I see of it is smeared in fingerprints.

In fact I think that Apple deliberately left this combination out as it might lure customers away from the SS and black sports band option. I mean, what other reason could there be? A silver watch with a black band is a classic combination.

Also check out that battery life, its 4:25pm and its blasting along at 86% left!
[doublepost=1465740199][/doublepost]Love the combination, I got told the White 42mm/38mm sport was the best option I didn't like the strap though, but you've nailed it.
