A question to the new iphone owners, does the portrait mode has been improved over the past generations or not, in your opinion?

My co-worker just got the 11 Pro Max this weekend, and showed me some pictures that she took over the weekend...OMG...I was floored at how good that camera is! It is my first time seeing the phone in person, and Apple really outdid themselves. The Midnight Green looks great!

Went out for a run. iPhone 11 Pro Max, ultrawide camera

Sorry I don’t know how to post a topic. I just sent pics from my 11Pro to my son and daughter via text and they both said they did not come through in very good resolution. Have never had that problem before on previous phones. Do I need to change a setting?

Are the photos going via iMessages or as Text (SMS). Do your kids have iPhones or Android ? Also do you have Low Quality Image Mode turned on in iMessages settings ?

One is on Android and one iPhone. I found that setting and turned it off but didn’t help. When I look at the pics here, I’m getting no where near the quality/clarity even looking at them on my phone. I just don’t know if it’s my poor photography skills or if the camera isn’t working right.

I don't have the credentials to comment on your skills. But if the photos look that bad on your own phone maybe get it checked out or meet up with someone with the same phone, shoot some photos and then compare them.
