Gsm arena has published their iPhone 12 and 12 pro tests today. Surprisingly iPhone 11 pro seems to have a sharper and more detailed video crops in studio conditions.

I find this rather strange and it looks like they might have some excessive noise reduction going on.

While difference is smaller with photos it looks like iPhone 11 would still have slightly sharper images.

Main sensor on overcast day there is barely any difference between 11 Pro and 12 Pro. All the difference comes from different post processing chain. Ultrawide and telephoto like on any other phone are good only for instagram posts and that's about it, same goes for a night mode on any sensor.

That's a very unreliable tool, I'm sure they try their best but they have issues at focusing. Some phones simply refuse to do infinite focus on their own and some phones recognize the tripod so they engage into whole frame focus. It really depends on the camera software of that particular model.

Thanks for input. I do notice that I have to constantly clean the lenses more on this phone

Yes it is!
Thank you! I loved Toronto. I lived on Meadowvale Road just south of the zoo. Transferred to Alberta and now live in southern California. Enjoy your phone. Those are some great shots!!! Get my 12 Pro Max Friday. Looking forward to it. We do a lot of hiking in the mountains and love shooting photos.
