Good morning everyone, I just received my iPhone 12 pro silver, 512 gig model. So far I love it. I also have the 12 pro max... here is a camellia flower covered in dew from this morning, processed with lightroom

so far using the two phones comparing the cameras, I haven’t seen the huge difference yet. Night mode images look a little bit better with the 12 Pro Max but I see more stars with the 12 pro probably because the pixels are smaller on the sensor. More to come, enjoy..

Some astrophotography with rye 12 pro max. Night mode for 30” and nightcap app for 4 minutes guided on the Skywatcher Star Adventurer for tracking. The nightcap app allows for continuous shooting / exposure for as long as you want, perfect for star trails. The fist two here were with Nightcap, 2.5x camera on the first shot for four minutes. Second photo was exposed for four minutes also on the wide / normal camera. The app never over exposes, so you can shoot as long as needed. It stacks all photos for a cleaner look.

Really nice. I’ve been trying to take photos of the stars, but here in the UK it’s pretty much been covered in a cloud since I got the thing!

That does put a damper on things. Especially when you get a new iPhone like that and you want to shoot some images of the night sky. It kind of reminds me of the same thing when an astronomer buys a new telescope it gets cloudy for a couple of weeks LOL. Hopefully you’ll be able to get a break in the clouds and test it out. If you can put your phone on a tripod you’ll get 30 seconds of exposure time instead of 10 seconds when it’s handheld.

Thanks mate. I have been out with my car and lay the iPhone on top of the car, and used my AW to fire the shutter. In place of a tripod. Just need some clear nights.

Here are 2 photos of a bike I just bought today. Zoom in on the variety of tires in the background. Look at the detail of those treads. You can feel and smell that rubber.
