Hmmm can't really see a big difference to the 11 Pro in any of the shots.
most of the reviews have said it's (like usual) an incremental improvement, with most improvement being seen in edge cases / difficult shooting situations (low light etc.). Having night mode on the UW and front cameras is likely to provide the biggest differences, check out Austin Mann's review of the 12 Pro cameras to see the difference it makes on the UW vs the 11 Pro...

Decided to try out the new cameras this morning, before I went off to work. Let's say I'm quite impressed. But I also noticed how Night Mode is not always superior in low-ligh situations, and keeping it off actually makes it look better.

Wide Angle - Night Mode off

In the shots of the gas station, the blue LED at the roof of the pumps basically disappears when using Night Mode. The photo made without Night Mode is darker overall, but I do prefer it over the one with Night Mode on.

Anyway, didn't have much time to shoot more, but gonna try to do as much as possible this weekend.

Some pictures are quite impressive in this topic.

The Bokkeh pictures are still not "quite there yet" for me though. I have yet to see one, that doesn't screem "photoshop" to me, because it has obvious errors around the borders of the person/object/pet.

Not sure if we will ever get there.

It's nice to have the option for Night Mode for those really dark scenes but, in the case of the gas station, having it turned off completely changes the overall feel of the image, making more visually appealing to me.

Thank God, it's not just me, haha. But indeed, it seems so much more visually appealing. I like how it sort of gives it this 'mysterious' look. As if it were a horror movie, taking place in this little town in the middle of nowhere, with the gas station being basically the only thing they have.

I have a wild fantasy. 😂

Went for a walk this morning to take some more pictures as well. Actually made quite a lot of them, including some with the ultra wide lens, but was quite disappointed by the amount of noise despite the pretty good lighting conditions. As a result, I took only one picture to publish here. I added a filter and cropped some of the pictures. In neither one of the pictures did I use Night Mode. Even in the third shot it did not prompt me with that option, so it didn't seem necessary.

Portrait Shot with DoF set all the way to f/16 as the 'standard' f/4.5 made it look too unnatural to me (or at least more so). Filter: dramatic cool

I'm most impressed by the first two shots, although the second is just a matter of getting the right angle, rather than having the right tools. But I absolutely am blown away by the first one. What do you guys think?

Has anyone noticed blurry subjects in portrait photos?

- I take a normal photo with the 2x lens and it is super sharp.
- Then I switch to portrait and the subject is a bit blurry.
- The same photo taken in portrait mode with an XS Max is much sharper.

It seems to be a software bug, since a normal 2x photo is sharp.

Anyone seeing this?
