Sad to hear most people, so far, didn't like it.

yeah i am not a big fan of 3d lately either... it was cool in avatar, sucked in every movie i've seen since ...
That's because in Avatar they realized the best way to do current 3D is to make it look like you're looking through a window, which is much more natural. Spatial effects (embers, snow, etc) are okay in front of the screen as long as they aren't over done. Also, the 3D effects can't have too much depth or you start giving people headaches because of unnatural eye strain.

yep, it also is weird in 3D because everything is basically always in focus across the whole depth of field, which is very unnatural... your vision blurs the background when you focus on something in the foreground and vice versa. In most 3D the foreground and background are in focus... makes it look weird and it's hard to see what's going on in fast moving action sequences.

I saw it today with my wife in 2D for $5 matinee. I was great, loved it, very entertaining.

Did everyone stay until after the credits?

I saw it, thought it was pretty good. I don't go expecting it to be the best storyline out there, just want to be entertained and it certainly did that.

I stuck with the 2D version as well, I refuse to get into all this 3D stuff.

I thought it was quite boring. The it just wasn’t edited very well and the pace started dragging. The chase through the streets of London was about twice as long as need be, and it lacked good sound effects to keep it real.

Also the music is the previous movies as very frontal, in this movie it just felt like an afterthought mixed mostly in the back.

Very Disappointing.

If part 5 is directed by Rob Marshall as well I wont be seeing it in theaters.
