Pitaka MagCase question

So I am deciding between the Apple black leather (which I have and love for my 8+) and the Pitaka MagCase for my new Gold Xs Max.

The problem with my leather is that I have to shove a metal plate down at the bottom of my leather case to work with my car mount but it is often unbalanced on the mount.

How well do you think the MagCase would work with my TechMatte cd magnet mount? Also curious on the feel compared to the leather case... what would you get?

Can categorically state the phone hasn't been dropped or had any impact. There was a crack in that ring for many weeks and a couple of weeks ago the crack opened up. Again, there was no impact causing the original crack. We both have the same case and hence able to compare.

By the way what you seem to refer to as a scuff? is not a scuff - it's the unfinished edge on the camera opening. We went ahead and peeled away the remaining part of that ring, and the whole camera opening is not a perfect cut, its a jagged edge.... as we're not supposed to see that edge due to the fixing of the ring. Like, done by hand or jigsaw (as opposed to laser or similar).

EDIT: in a funny turn of events my wife prefers the case without the ring now.... as it lays completed flat on a surface and doesn't have the 'rocking motion'. Camera lens remains protected.

Hi,

From where do you ship your magpro cases bought via your website. Only asking as i live in UK and any item shipped from outside europe will incur tax if above $20 unless marked as gift and below that value. Have you got warehouse in UK?

Please advise.

They have a warehouse in Germany (and items were dispatched from this location in a subsequent delivery). Despite this, they insisted on sending my initial order from China.
 
Hi, do you have information, does the car MagEz mount works with new ip12 magsafe? Does the magnets holds smarthone in place?

Hi, the MagEZ Mount or MagEZ Mount Qi cannot hold the iPhone 12 due to the different placement of magnets. But you can use the MagEZ Case for iPhone 12, and it will work flawlessly with the magnetic car mount. PITAKA is upgrading its magnetic system to work with the iPhone 12 naked.

So:

iPhone 12 'naked' will NOT work with existing magnetic car mounts, despite MagSafe
iPhone 12 with PITAKA case WILL work with existing magnetic car mounts, MagSafe does not change things

Correct.

But just to clarify, iPhone 12 with MagEZ Case will work with existing magnetic chargers as well as MagSafe.
