Just received dbrand grip and did case swap. It hides the cloudy white but grip is so firm with dbrand.
It fully covers the side rail yet the scrolling on curved screen felt still nice

Only left ESR metal ring to paste on Google case and plan to rock with both cases occasionally.

Does it feel more or less bulky than the Google case?

I will use it for magsafe accessories with ESR metal ring. I got quite a few of magsafe accessories like belkin car vent holder, wallet, and also my tech shrine I mean Belkin boost charge pro.

For Dbrand, I would mostly use for when going in office.
Haha ok. Mine isn't shipping until end of December. I understand the supply chain issues..but damn lol

Really like that dbrand case, is it too thick though? Does it make the phone much bigger?

It makes bigger and not so asthetic as G. Case.
One of the reason I try to hide it with Triple black icon vinyl.

But it gives more confidence in terms of handling. I can still use it with one hand.

G.case felt loose at side rails sometimes and worried unknowingly that it will flip of the case and drop.

Grip case been a hype for years on Reddit and their quality is getting better every year. With this case, I really like the texture being very detailed.

I will get some photos of those texture and share you here later.

A couple more shots. So far realIy liking the base 6 camera. Such an awesome shooter for $600!!!

did compare to 13 pro and did have some shots I preferred from that device, but that is for a different discussion and I paid a LOT more for that device!!View attachment 1909049View attachment 1909052View attachment 1909057

I think you will ever get rid of your camera gear and go just phone? I have a 6dmkii and a 50?mm, 24-70 and a 70-300 and don't really use them

Ahhh ok it's not an actual live wallper I was expecting videoish and it moved on its own. Thank you though!!

This app is the Pixel "live" wallpapers from previous Pixel phones, like the Pixel 4, and 5 and they made some out of the Android 12 wallpapers.

The one I have selected, moves around when you tilt the phone or swipe to another page on your homescreen.

I absolutely love my nifty 50 and would never NOT bring it in my camera bag. Talk about great bokah!
Yeah I love mine. I have a Sigma 1.4 Art, and when I want to travel super compact I just run with my RF 35mm 1.8. It looks like a tiny toy of a kit lens, but it is amazing for bokeh and still impresses me to this day! I also just picked up the RF 16mm which is a fun and tiny wide angle lens that gets great shots as well!

$300 lens, so this is where my $$ I saved by not getting the Pixel 6 Pro was directed ;)

No intention to at this point. As I learned while doing photos at night recently, there really is no replacement for a large sensor and good glass at this point in time. The other issue is, I am a freelance photographer for a publication, and I often can't be close to the action, so a good sensor and good glass will be needed for fast paced image capture, and the detail I need to submit to clients and editor.

That said, the Pixel and iPhone do an amazing job at capturing images of all types, in fact, for casual landscape shots it is nearly a match to the Canon in low light, all until you deeply pixel peep. (don't in this case as the Canon shot attached above is reduced in size and compressed ;) ).

(FOR THE RECORD, both shots have been touched by Lightroom to bring out the colors and sky in a way I personally like)

Case I ordered per @Heat_Fan89 suggestion has arrived . I am a huge fan (no pun intended)

Which do you prefer?

Photos taken via pixel 3.

Sorta like the black one, looks more stealth but the Seafoam green color is the best of all the Pixel's this year, nice to show it off, but clear cases look weird to me, with the shiny plastic looking sides.

I might get the dbrand grip case with the Robot camo skin.

Yeah I would love a matte or black side with clear back. That would be the perfect combination for me. The case I have for my iPhone XS Max is actually spot-on what I would love for this particular phone. Granted if you look at the picture this case is actually for my now sold iPhone 11 pro Max but details, details..

Sorry someone asked me last night for a photo of the Poetic case. Unfortunately I’m short on free time today so this quick pic I snapped last night will have to do for the time being. My display is not pink. This is just an awful photo. Sorry.

This is just the front view to show the weird dot where the fingerprint sensor sticker adheres to the display. Most of the time I don’t notice it but I haven’t yet tried to watch a movie or video with this case on.

My husband hates this case. He said it makes a light slim phone look bulky. It does add considerable width. But if I add a ring to the back I don’t know that I would care.

I do think anything striking the clear back of the case will still allow the back to shatter. So it is a lot of bulk for mainly edge protection and dust and scratch protection. I’ll take that. But I don’t know if I would recommend it to you all. If you want more protection from Poetic they have a case with a much more sturdy back.

There is something about the screen protector that does enhance the look of the display contents being painted on. I do like that.

I have to run. I’ll try to get back with better photos as soon as I can.

There are some inconsistencies in Android 12 with this whole theming malarkey.
I love it, but I feel like regardless of my wallpaper choice, I only actually have a handful of coloured icons to choose from.

There's a shade of every colour, sure, but it's the same shade. So if you have some yellow on your wallpaper you get ONE shade of yellow for your icons and that's it. Same with green, although I've seen two different greens. One neon lime and the other a little more subdued.

But I feel like it's giving you a colour based on a pool of pre chosen colours that Google decided to use. It certainly isn't using the whole colour palette.

It's also inconsistent to the branding Google have used to sell the Pixels.

Like in this picture, you can see that the search bar and the icons are different shades. Yet so far, I've only seen a white bar for my light themed set ups.

I've also seen a music widget being used in the press renders and it isn't one that is available on device.
Strange!

Totally agree. The upper right purple one, I have yet to see that dark shade of purple on my 6 Pro. And the grey / white themed icons? I can never get that option.

Google needs to allow way more color options than just the typical light pastel colors. Hopefully that's coming in a future update.

Yup. I wouldn't have thought it'd be too difficult either. But I always seem to end up with the same shades.
They're nice, and I like them, but I'd like a little more control and choice.
