Thank you for your reply I really appreciate it. That’s true what you said.I would go ahead and buy it. I am unsure that Apple has ever had a discount on their apps, certainly not what has been typical of Pixelmator over the years.
You’re probably right and that’s what I fear. I think I will buy it sooner than later. Totally appreciate your reply. Now that Apple owns it, I'd be more inclined to expect a reverse sale... AKA price increase... and/or folded into one of the subscription bundles to collect forever rent. I'd also suggest buy while you can OWN it at this great price.
Appreciate the suggestion, does it have ai functions such as remove background and vector options? I’ll look into it. Thank you for your reply. What about Acorn as an alternative?

Yes I have the older versions 2020 on my older iPad, as far as I know the affinity products don’t have AI background removal and AI vectorizing image tools, I may be wrong, I will be using a Mac for graphic editing software. Im assuming pixelmator pro won’t meet your needs? Thank you for your reply much appreciated. If you really need it - get it now. Being in use is far more important that gambling on Apple's later* strategies. As for me, I think its a great product but I went another direction - Affinity Photo, Publisher, and Designer. No subscriptions and also has iPad versions.
I’ll need to do some comparisons. Thank you.It does to some extent, I am not sure though, how it compares to Pixelmator.
Did you check the Designer app in conjunction with the Photo App? No matter, if Pixelmator has what you need then it is a great idea to get it.Yes I have the older versions 2020 on my older iPad, as far as I know the affinity products don’t have AI background removal and AI vectorizing image tools, I may be wrong, I will be using a Mac for graphic editing software. I’ve checked the designer features and it doesn’t have what I’m looking for, referring to the new version, but yes you’re right, good idea to get pixelmator.Did you check the Designer app in conjunction with the Photo App? Usually when big corporations acquire these firms, they buy the team and leave the CEO run the company for a while under the apple umbrella. Plus it doesn't cost much.I’m thinking of buying Pixelmator pro, should I wait for it to go on sale or buy it at the current price? I’m afraid if I wait till it goes on sale that Apple will mess it up and dumb it down. I imagine it won’t go on sale till Black Friday. Any advice or suggestions?
Good to know! You’re right, price is pretty decent. Thank you.Usually when big corporations acquire these firms, they buy the team and leave the CEO run the company for a while under the apple umbrella. Plus it doesn't cost much.
It is a shame that Apple didn't make Aperture free or share ware so a group could work on it much akin to GIMP and other software. I often wonder if Adobe didn't put the screws to Apple and tell them they would stop making products that run on Apple devices if Aperture wasn't taken off the market.I bough Aperture shortly before Apple shut it down. 80+ U$ in the garbage and it was a great program. I bought an eBook too on subject. Also useless now.
