I was just at the Apple Store in the Rockaway Mall in NJ. I needed screen protectors.

I asked since I'm happy with this phone can I still by this in the future. The answer----NO. It's been discontinued.

If you want to hold on to it then buy Apple Care and we will cover it one more year, after that 3G.

I own a dinosaur.

Thanks Apple.

A $600 disposable phone.

I don't fully understand your post.

We all know they aren't going to sell gen 1 iPhones anymore. They never do, Apple's gen 2 products always supplant their gen 1 products. If you are talking about service, why would they continue to service your phone if it is out of warranty, or out of Apple Care?

Of course you can still get work done to it, you just have to pay for it. This wouldn't change even if the 3G iPhone didn't come out.

What the hell are you complaining about exactly?

I made a statement. And don't what the he'll me.

I spent a considerable amount of money and yes I know things change. A two year contract and at 10 months I can't replace it. If I do its for a lesser quality phone.

There is no 3g anywhere near where I live and work.

And he lead me to believe once out of warranty or apple care you're done. right away you think I'm looking for free. I was just looking for continued support. I've paid my way for 51 years thank you.

GPS i could care less. Ten bucks a month more for something I won't be able to use?

Oh I've also seen threads what if this or that about the future availability. I just thought I'd set the record straight. Next time I'll just ignore all the factless dribble. And let you all figure it out. You probably think I'm southern now.

So you are complaining that you wont be able to buy a new FIRST gen iPhone from Apple when your current iPhone will die sometime (years) from now?

You actually demand that Apple continues to produce the first gen version of their product in all eternity?

OK Load lock and flame.

Where did you see the word demand? And what makes you say "for years" when there are many posts with people with repeat replacements?

As far as any more attention to this thread I go back to my previous.

Have fun with the flame thrower. Its funny how when other people ask and create inaccurate answers based on opinion you say nothing. As soon as facts are involved you repulse them.
