Poor finish on the expensive metal link band.

Some bloke on a buffing wheel will have held this and tried to get all the surface scratches looking nice, and it's going to be very hit and miss from band to band.

Apple try and make "Hand Finished" to be luxurious, when generally it often means poor and inaccurate.

It's one of those funny things in the world.

A machine makes some wine glasses spot on perfect ever time, and they are seen as low quality.

A old man in a dirty old french building makes glasses by hand, same grade of glass and because they are all different as he's not able to make them all the same due to the limits of human skill levels, the glasses are deemed as higher quality.

Funny old world :)

They are in every measurable way a worse product, and yet deemed better!

The best one is where you take a new smooth wooden table, then smash a chain over it to damage the top, varnish it, and then it's worth more :D
