VERY interesting time 1964 - 1968!!

It was incredible!!:p:D

The tear gas had dissipated by the time I got there... ;)

It's a pretty conservative place now. I don't think the current students even have a clue as to the history there... Oh well, still an awesome place.

I'm sorry to hear that it's so changed. But change is the one constant, I guess.

I'm sure it's still beautiful there, and a terrific school.I received an amazingly good education there...um, at least I think I did. It's all just a bit hazy!!!:p;)

Well I was raised in the Finder Lakes region of New York State. I then lived in Rochester after School and then joined the Army. I did most of my time in the South Pacific and have wish I could live there, it was like being in Heaven on Earth.

Now in Virginia (because of low State Taxes, etc.) but still wish for the small town life, for the slowness of life.

I was born & raised in Brecon, Wales, UK. A small town where everyone know's everyone, and a place I knew like the back of my hand. After the council screwing the place over ten-fold, forcing businesses out of the area, in September 2008 we moved to Lisvane, Cardiff. On a very good salary, with a free house, in the most affluent part of the capital we were living there very happily until the boss decided to shut up shop & fire everyone in March 2010. Scrambling to find a job, we moved to Twyford, Buckinghamshire. It was a quiet, 'perfect' British village. Once again on a decent salary with a paid-for house.. However the mere 6 months spent there were the worst of my life. After (finally) finding an opportunity back in Wales, we moved to Llantwit Major, ten miles west of Cardiff & 50 miles south of Brecon (my hometown) & haven't looked back since.

...Man I hate moving.

Hey, Old Man...no family history, huh?!

My ancestral home in the Bronx, NY was torn down to build a highway!!:(

My first house as a child was torn down to build a runway!

Now and Then

Kind of sad. Old neighborhood had a golf course, little league, park, churches, etc. Now, just a runway.

I was born in Arkansas
Moved to Denver, Colorado very shortly after
Moved to Rover, Arkansas at three.
Moved to San Antonio, Texas at 14.
Moved to Danvile, to Arkansas at 15.
Moved to Boerne, Texas at 16
Moved to Comfort, Texas at 18.

Hopefully I will be able to move out of Texas sometime in the next few years, I've never liked it here. Ideally, I'd like to return to Arkansas but the lack of jobs combined with how some of the people up there are... not quite right (for lack of a better description) I'm currently looking elsewhere.

What are you looking for in a place to live?
